I took my 3 sons here to go to the living history farm. It was pretty but I thought there would be more animals than just a donkey, two horses, and a couple of chickens. But one... read more

We camped at the park for a weekend. The campgrounds are nice. Lots of trees, a nice playground, lake with fishing and boat rentals, hiking trails and a decent camp shop. We took the trail over to the Living History Farm. It was late in the Fall and nothing was actually going on, but the village is still cute and... More

I took my 3 sons here to go to the living history farm. It was pretty but I thought there would be more animals than just a donkey, two horses, and a couple of chickens. But one horse ate grass out their hands and they loved that! They should have more information plaques there or something to tell more about... More

Even though we arrived late and the reenactors were gone, it was still enjoyable to walk thru and look at the multiple historic buildings on site. Signage explains what each one was.

I would recommend this to anyone that loves history. We took two of our grandsons to show them where their ancestors on both sides fought.

We've been going to KMST for a while and love it. One of our favorite places to camp. We've made many friends for life here. The only negative thing is they really need to cut some trees down before someone gets seriously hurt.

We rented a shelter which was very nice with a water spigot at the shelter and also electric plug-ins. It was a very nice size with picnic tables and benches. plenty of shade to keep you cool. There was a restroom very close and also parking is very close. The shelters are very removed from some of the activities and... More

Nestled against Kings Mountain National Military Park, the state park is a great place for outdoor activities. There a nice lake where you can enjoy swimming. They used to serve ice cream and refreshments (not sure if they still do). The living history farm is really interesting and educational. Also, for those who are equestrians, there are lots of trails... More

I spent 3 nights in this park and really enjoyed it. There is a recreated early 1800's farm about 2 1/2 miles from the campground that was a 5 mile total hike. I was there in the early morning, so I had the place to myself. It was very picturesque. The park also features a 16 mile loop that goes... More
