Great Treat, but wish there was more
Dec 2019
Nice little museum with lots of info and some cute parts, but wish there was more to it. San Ramon is such a historical part of costa rica, you would think they could fill it with more historical events and exhibits.

Not much to see here. Nice court yard just off the central park and cathedral area. No entry fee so worth 20 minutes of your time to check it out.

Interactive museum great for children of all ages. Right underground in San Ramon's central plaza. Money plates are interesting along with art plates used. Gold souvenir shop is amazing. Worth the trip.

I'm not sure what was going on here...it may have been under renovation when we came because the only two things to see were a giant sloth and an exhibit on turtles hatching. You could see this in 5 minutes. I think it is more of a gathering place for the community.

Giant Sloth

Well, it wasn't crazy awesome. But we'd taken a day trip from Alajuela to San Ramon and it started to rain...... so we stepped into the Museum which truth be told, doesn't have much for standing exhibits. It looks more like a place that hosts traveling exhibits. It's free and cute and something you could pop into while waiting to catch a bus to the next destination, which is what we did.

A new chance to going back in history

Maybe, every town needs a museum like this, whom, also has a concert hall and a great piano. The only trouble is that you cannot visit it on Sunday. It still a great initiative from the University of Costa Rica.

I loved it, what an incredible learning experience.
The city of the poets, that is how you will remember this town, this is where the poetry was born in Costa Rica, and it is a beautiful small museum.
Learn about their people, their coffee, their history. Learn about the peaceful and beautiful energy of Costa Rica
