Lots of historic information. Worth a visit if your going to spend time in San Ramon. They have live music on a regular schedule, jazz, blues as well as Tico marimba and other Latin music.

I loved it, what an incredible learning experience.
The city of the poets, that is how you will remember this town, this is where the poetry was born in Costa Rica, and it is a beautiful small museum.
Learn about their people, their coffee, their history. Learn about the peaceful and beautiful energy of Costa Rica

This museum, across the street from the park, deserves a quick visit of 15-20 minutes if you are in San Ramon and interested in natural history. Its two small rooms have models and a few fossils of the enormous sloths found in the area about 12,000 years ago. The visual image of seeing them (rather than reading about 4 ton animals) is worth seeing. The second room has a well-done exhibit of sea turtles.

I live in San Ramon so this museum is just down the street. If I was in San Jose I'd just stick to museums there as this is still in development and more of a recreation center in its current state. There are a few rooms of exhibits and classes are available daily for craft activities. It's near the park so if you get hungry you have options. It's free and everyone is nice and inviting. As others have said it's mainly an open courtyard so it's not somewhere you can escape from the rain.

Nice little museum with lots of info and some cute parts, but wish there was more to it. San Ramon is such a historical part of costa rica, you would think they could fill it with more historical events and exhibits.

Not much to see here. Nice court yard just off the central park and cathedral area. No entry fee so worth 20 minutes of your time to check it out.

Interactive museum great for children of all ages. Right underground in San Ramon's central plaza. Money plates are interesting along with art plates used. Gold souvenir shop is amazing. Worth the trip.

I'm not sure what was going on here...it may have been under renovation when we came because the only two things to see were a giant sloth and an exhibit on turtles hatching. You could see this in 5 minutes. I think it is more of a gathering place for the community.
