Setting aside just for a moment the horrific climate change implications, there are few moments more incredible than the sensation of being less than a quarter mile from a calving glacier. The “Grand Day” kayak trip to the foot of a glacier is an incredible, special experience, not to be missed. We were taken on an hour or so boat... More

First time kayakers. Guide was very knowledgeable , set us up with the gear and instructions on "kayaking". Then we were off on the water where we saw salmon, otters, a sea lion, and many Bald Eagles. We got many wonderful pictures while on the water. Best of all we made it back without becoming lunch for any "Killer Whales"... More

I booked a 3 hour tour with Sunny Cove the last week in August. Arthur and Kelly were the trip guides. They knew the bay and the area's history and we're quick to spot the all the birds/animals in the vicinity. It was a fantastic way to get a closeup of the gorgeous Resurrection bay scenery and a great upper... More

Had a great morning kayak with Sunny Cove. It was very rainy but the water was calm. Our guide was great and very knowledgable. We didn't see tons of wildlife but it was an affordable, accessible adventure and nice to see some of the bay via kayak.

Had a great time. The kayaks were new and our guide was awesome. Scenery in Resurrection Bay was amazing and we were joined by some porpoises and seals !! One if the highlights of our trip.

My wife and I opted for the Fox Island Morning Kayak and cruise combo. This gave us plenty of time on the water around the island and a great meal, not to mention the wildlife cruise that followed. Our guides Kelly M and Kat met us after our ferry ride to the island where we were briefed, trained, and outfitted... More

We had a wonderful time. Our guide was very helpful and informative. We had a safe trip with no mishaps. Didn't even get wet. The glacier was very active while we were there watching.

The picture provided by Sunny Cove is a little deceptive. Kayaking near the glaciers was what I wanted. What we received was a cruise along the shoreline, never to pass a particular spit of land, and a land hike. Our guide was super nice, very informative even though he repeated himself frequently, making you feel like there was an agenda/timeline... More

Hi kjc472, Thank you for taking a moment to share your experience kayaking with Sunny Cove. We're glad to hear you enjoyed your guide and that the equipment worked well. Pogies (neoprene mitts) do come in handy when the weather is chilly and wet. I'm guessing by your description you joined our Resurrection Bay Tour, which does not visit a... More

Beyond the amazing views that you expect to see, our guide made the trip that much more enjoyable. McKenzie was knowledgeable of wildlife and Alaskan history. It was evident that she sincerely enjoys sharing this beautiful place with those that she meets everyday.
