The views were amazing and the kayaking was sooo much fun! Resurrection Bay is gorgeous! Our guide Cara was a blast and she had so much information about the area!

This is a great way to spend time in Kenai Fjord national park. You get to see the diverse marine wildlife an birdlife in the area. We saw dolphins, Orcas, bald eagle (and a bald eagle nest), barn owls on this tour. It was great fun kayaking in the Fjords. During our tour we saw many chunks of the glacier fall into the ocean which created ripples in the water. The guides were patient and we spent more than half a day in the water exploring the Fjord.

My two teens and I spent a few hours padding with Sunny Cove. They did a great job leading us around the bay, explaining safety considerations and the guides and our driver were all professional and personable, made us feel welcome and safe out on the water. It was amazing to be at water-level in our kayaks, such beautiful terrain. Highly recommended!

The fox island full day kayak was wonderful. The day was a perfect mix of novelty, adventure, beauty, and led by a guide that made everything feel relaxed and fun. We saw sea lions in the water! Absolutely beautiful and very fun.

Sunny Cove Kayaking in Seward
A Mother and 12 year old Son set off for one of the best days of our 2 week Alaska visit. First off we got dressed up and given safety instructions. Then straight into the water and more easy instructions how to paddle it was love at first stroke. The gentle added to this amazing trip’s atmosphere with a little fog thrown in for effect. About 40 mins of gentle costing along the coastline we pulled our kayaks up onto the black pebbled beach. Off to see the “Rain Forest” quiet together with nature away from the noise seeing it for real. “Ahhhhh look” I shouted “these salmon are spawning”. Low and behold iff all the places and with split precision timing I was merited to watch nature at its quickest. In the blink of an eye
Female lay’s her eggs and Male swims over and deposits his milky white sperm. A true dance of heroic nature as he had to fight off other eagerly awaiting Salmon.
The trip through the rain forest was fun while walking on a raised path made from wood.
The return back was equally exciting while spotting water dwelling creatures lounging in the unspoiled area of Seward.
A magnificent trip highly recommended.
For anyone with a sense of adventure and a love of nature.

Wow, what a detailed description of our tours in Resurrection Bay. You must have visited between mid-July and late-August if you were able to see spawning salmon in Tonsina Creek. What a magical experience for you and your son. Thank you for the lovely review, and we hope to see you again! Stephanie C. Millane - Owner stephanie@sunnycove.com 907.224.4426

I loved the all day kayak around Fox Island. The scenery of course was fantastic, we were lucky enough to see a whale and lots of puffins which I had never seen before. Our guide, Andrew, was very good and explained a lot about the area. I would definitely recommend that trip if you want a longer paddling experience.

We saw eagles and samon swimming up stream although sponing season was over. We were the last trip of the season so we're meet by all the staff at the end of the trip with cookies and . I don't know if they do that for every trip but we felt special. Thank you for a great adventure. It was a highlight of our trip to Alaska!

We have a tradition of welcoming our very last trip of the season. 😉 We have our entire staff head to the beach to land the last guests, and to share a toast with champagne or sparkling juice to commemorate the end of our season. I'm so glad you were there to enjoy it with us! Stephanie C. Millane - Owner stephanie@sunnycove.com 907.224.4426

I really enjoyed being on the water in the kayak. We got to see puffins up close and starfish on the rock walls. We also saw a dolphin in the distance escaping from some orcas. The guides were great. Took a little bit to get used to using the pedals and coordinating with my daughter in the front of the kayak but overall, a great experience.
The afternoon boat ride was good. Our captain knew where to look to find as much wildlife as possible. Wish I had used binoculars instead of trying to take pictures. I would have enjoyed the experience more since it was difficult to see a lot of the animals without binoculars and the rocking motion of the boat kept my pictures from turning out well. Definitely a time to just enjoy the ride and view and not worry about pictures.
