My wife, stepdaughter and I chartered the 6 person boat with 2 others for the day.The staff were great, helpful and very professional. answered any questions we had and reassured us they are the best in the business.
Started on time in the morning. Jeff our Captain was top notch. Explained due to the weather he was going to head in a different direction then the other boats. He did and we had Amazing weather while the other boats were in 25 knot winds. They ended up leaving and headed where were left. Very knowledgeable.
Fish didnt stop bitting. out of the 5 of us we didn't go long without a fish on. 1 time 4 of us had a silver on. i bet the capt was sitting back saying oh boy....
We all limited out on Halibut. salmon. ling cod. yellow eye. and a couple other rockfish.

Jeff was so patient. and helpful. Never once showed frustration and trust me a few times i was like oh boy...
The boat well equipped and safe.

I love Alaska. the people here should be so proud of what you have!!

And it is Jeff and Crackerjack why I'll be back. oh and yes another charter with the both.

It was a trip of a life time and I am glad that Jeff and Crackerjack were a part of it.

Thank you so very much!!!

I fished with Crackerjack and Captain Jeff for the second and third time last week. My previous review was "the best fishing charter I have ever been on" and that is no longer true, because last week was now the best fishing charter I have ever been on. Jeff is a world class fisherman, and not only did we all catch large halibut and king salmon with him, but I learned a lot as a fisherman.

He is a great captain for all skill levels, and puts everyone on fish. He works for everyone so that each fisherman has an equal opportunity to catch fish. I will never go with another charter company in Seward. Thanks again for the fantastic fishing, and I am still working on purchasing another freezer to accommodate my fillets.

Our family of 4 including 2 teenagers went out on board the Keep It Reel with Matt for a 1/2 day salmon fishing trip. This was one of the highlights of our Alaskan journey. Matt was great putting us on tons of fish. He was professional and very helpful in explaining the correct way to fish in these waters. The boat was clean and I would fish again with Crackerjack!

Second trip fishing with Captain T on the Graylight! She is an excellent captain who works hard to provide clients with a great Alaskan experience. Weather was not very good but T put us on different fish while keeping in mind that safety was a TOP Priority. Highly recommend Captain T. I'll definitely go out with her and her skills again next year.

We booked an all day fishing trip through Crackerjack and they were great to work with, had quick responses and answered all my random questions leading up to our trip! We have never done anything like this and ended up getting sea sick but that didn't stop us from having a great day! Our captains were super helpful and let us take our time, showed us how to use things once we were comfortable, and were very personable! We were able to catch all our fish and had a great day! We ended up taking home 30 lbs of salmon and halibut! They helped us bring it to Captains where they were able to package and box up our fish to check home. Highly recommended! It was so slick for out of state travelers. Even though we got sick - it was totally worth it at the end of the day!

Our family has been out on the water with Captain Nik on the Voyager twice in the last five years and we had a great trip both times. The folks at Crackerjack Charters are professional, super helpful, and work really hard to put us on fish. While weather is a factor that no one can control, both times we brought home limits of fish. Highly recommend Crackerjack Charters.

Went out on the Crackerjack Voyager for a day of fishing and the crew were professional and very helpful for a beginner fisherman. Caught my limit of Halibut in literally two minutes. Very nice clean boat and the crew did almost everything but reel in the fish for me.

Captain appeared to be stoned or serverely hung over. While we caught fish, I was very uncomfortable with the experience, but I guess this IS Alaska.

Our Captains and crews are all subject to pre employment, random and post incident drug and alcohol testing as mandated by the United States Coast Guard and the Department of Transportation. The captains work a minimum of 15 hours and day and do not drink or take drugs of any kind. There is no way they could ever handle the work if they came to work hung over. If they were caught doing so, they would lose their US Coast Guard License, job and their livelyhood. Making such outragous and unsubstantiated allegations makes me doubt you ever came fishing with us.

We fished with Captain Nik and Captain Andy at Crackerjack Charters in Seward for the last two years. The fishing and the crew was awsome.
Each day's fishing was better than the next. Salmon, halibut and rockfish were caught in large numbers each day. We even caught a huge Salmon Shark. If you want a great day of fishing, go with these guys!

We went on a small boat half day salmon fishing trip. There were 6 of us from 2 different groups on a small boat, maybe 22 feet, but I am no expert. Terry, our captain, was cool and mellow. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. It took us about an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes to get to where we were going. He gave us a little instruction and then it was off to the races. He says we were lucky but I don’t know, it seems like everyone catches fish there. Within 2 minutes of dropping our lines in, I think 4 of us hooked a fish. We were all novices so it was a lot for Terry to handle but he helped us all eventually. I caught my 3 fish allotment in about 20 minutes and my dad probably in 30 minutes. Everyone on our boat caught their full 3 fish allotment I would say within an hour or an hour and a half.

After fishing, we headed back to catch bait. When we stopped, as Terry caught bait, we watched one whale bubble fish. Terry seemed to know other captains out there and told them where to find this whale. After he finished catching bait for the afternoon trip, we headed back. We stopped in a cove for pictures both one-on-one and as a group. We got back at noon, making it a perfect trip as advertised. They then brought the fish up to be fileted and then told us where to get them weighed and packed.

Some tips:
1. A half day trip is limited to 3 fish per person. It really depends on where you fish I guess. The most you can catch, I think, is 6 but you have to be in a certain location. My guess is that they will limit you to 3 on a half day tour.
2. You get about 50% of the weight of the fish after they are fileted. My dad, brother, and I each got between 10.5 and 13 pounds of fileted fish to send home.
3. It costs anywhere from $120 to $180 to ship fish home if it is less than 20 pounds. My brother sent 17 pounds (some people gave him their extras) for $150 to Arizona. I sent 10.5 pounds to Boston. And it is not necessarily shipped the same day. I caught mine on a Tuesday and they were shipped on a Thursday.
4. There is a restaurant Seward called Apollo Restaurant that will cook your fish if you bring it to them. Might be something cool to try.
5. Bring gloves and layers of clothing. If you are not sitting inside during the trip in and out of the fishing location, it can get very cold on the back of the boat. There was room for about 4 of the 6 of us inside. Two people had to be outside at all times.
