This tour turned out to be one of the best of over a weeks' worth of travel on Alaska's Inside Straight! Took the 6.5 hour Kenai Fjords National Park Wildlife & Glacier Tour on the "Outright" small group craft on June 23,2022 with Captain Tanya and her First Mate. They were outstanding in their commentary, spent considerable time getting up close to a Pod of Humpback Whales during a "Bubble Feeding Session" creating a close up visual of these huge mammals breeching to feed. Captain Tanya uses an underwater microphone to listen to the whales as they communicate with their Pod while herding fish and Krill for a great shared lunch. Captain also got us close to Sea Lions, many sea Birds and close to the face of a glacier, where the First Mate broke out nets and invited "Iceberg" fishing for the youngsters on board. We wholeheartedly recommend Seacor Tours for a day of discovery and education on the beauty and bounty of Alaska.

If you are planning on a boat tour in Seward, this is the one to do. The boat was large enough for my family and two other groups to eat lunch inside since it was chilly out but still have plenty of room outside to see the sites, a total of 10 passengers. Don't get packed into one of those larger boats. The wildlife was amazing and Tanya and Lacey were great at giving personalized, one on one commentary on the views. The lunch was from a local restaurant and really hit the spot. Tonya kept a close eye on the weather to make sure we were safe at all times. Really enjoyed this trip and would do it again for sure next time we're in Alaska.

Tonya and Lacey did a fantastic job piloting the boat and giving commentary about the surroundings and wildlife! Knowledgeable and friendly. We were lucky enough to see a breeching humpback (also doing a lot of tail flipping), pod of orcas, otters, seal lions, seals, bald eagles, tufted and horned puffins, and more!! What a day! Super comfortable boat and yummy lunch too. Would highly recommend Seacor tours and love that they are female owned and run.

We had the most incredible day out with SeaCor tours! I was born and raised in Alaska and have done the Kenai Fjord Tours several times. I had a friend with me this summer who had never been yet, so I wanted to make sure we went out on a smaller, less commercial boat to get a more intimate experience. Well, Captain Tanya and Lacey her deckhand were fantastic and I couldn’t recommend them enough! They won bonus points when they turned the boat around to pick up a plastic bag floating in the ocean, when I saw that I knew I had chose the right boat! Not only did we have a beautiful day on the water (we were lucky to get clear skies too) watching puffins, stellar sea lions and seeing tidal glaciers… we also witnessed one of the best humpback whale bubble feeding shows I have ever seen! Approximately 14 humpbacks bubble feeding for over an hour is an incredible experience in itself, but when Tanya put a hydrophone (waterproof microphone) in the water so we could listen to the whales singing, I just broke down in tears. It was a truly incredibly magical experience. Tanya was extremely knowledgeable with the biology and behavior of the wildlife and with the geography of the area. Our day on the water with SeaCor tours was the best tour I have ever done in Alaska. Highly recommend this company!!!

Our group of seven ages 3-67 spent the day with Tanya and Lacy. They were knowledgeable, encouraging and friendly. We had absolutely fantastic weather. We saw multiple humpback whales bubblenet feeding and their haunting songs. We saw a minky whale, harbor seals, puffins, sea stars, sea lions, cormorants, gulls, parakeet auklets, eagles and jumping bait fish. This was the first day of our 10 day Alaska trip and set the bar high! They were constantly scanning and in communication with other boats for sightings and responsive if a layperson thought they saw something.

We even went up to Holgate Glacier, which was calving and spent a great amount of time listening to the cracks and booms while watching the ice fall.

If you have a professional camera with a zoom lens you could get amazing photos too. Mine are just from a iPhone max. But you get the idea. 😉

Our Seacor tour was one of the most exhilarating and adventurous days of my life! What a joy when an adventure exceeds expectations! Captain Tanya & Lacy made this trip extremely fun, relaxing, safe and fulfilling. They went out of their way to find us whales at a time when sightings are not super common, and the found them for us! We saw Orcas and humpbacks! They took us to places that took our breath away. So much nature, wildlife, and adventure! The boat was extremely comfortable and spacious!! They provided a great lunch! We are all so abundantly pleased I wish I could give a 6th star! I offer my utmost recommendation!!! -Mark, Virginia

Best thing we did on our whole trip! I'm so glad we chose a small group tour - totally worth the extra cost. No mobs of strangers, no jockeying for good spots on the boat, and tons of personal attention. Captain Tania and First mate Lacey were wonderful - knowledgeable, personable, and spotted so much wildlife. We saw at least four or five humpback whales, including a mother and calf, porpoises, seals, sea lions, puffins, an otter with her pup, starfish, jumping salmon, and probably more that I'm forgetting. The whales were a real highlight.

The scenery was beautiful and the glacier was spectacular. Pictures cannot adequately convey just how massive it is. I was blown away by the scale of everything, and humbled by the beauty of it all.

I'd go back in a heart beat, and highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in wildlife and glaciers (and who isn't interested in those things?).

Very organized and professional. Boat was fantastic. Held all 17 of us comfortably during on/off rain and yet plenty of viewing room in deck. Boat had 4 300hp engines so we could zip along between sites and yet it displaced very little water so we could go close to glaciers etc. We saw a humpback, several orcas, sea otters and sea lions. Much better experience than on bigger boat with 200 other folks.

We got to see orcas, humpbacks, porpoises, puffins, sea lions, sea stars, dall sheep, bald eagles, kittiwakes, and sea otters. Tanya is in contact with other boat captains that tell her where to go see whale pods, so you will definitely see them. Her customized boat is smaller and speedy to get to all the wildlife faster than big tour boats. It was very comfortable in the warm cabin with lots of room to walk around. Its such a smooth ride with no seasickness at all and Tanya/Lacey are so much fun to be with. We were even able to get close enough to some porpoises that they splashed us! Also, another bonus is that Tanya is a female-owned small local business that she runs by herself. (Definitely do not book with the big tour cruise boats because we passed them and they are packed full of people to where the boat leans into the water and doesn’t even get close to the wildlife.)

This was the trip of a life time. Captain Tanya and Lacey took us safely through a magical 6 hour excursion where we saw orcas, humpback, sea otters and her baby, puffins, porpoise, sea lions with mountains glaciers and blue sea in the background. Oh, and a bear! Amazing. All women crew, great boat with smaller group capacity. 20 max. Kind, lovely, knowledgeable and sea experts. We were also lucky to have our own orcaologist Nicole who knew everything about the whales and so much more. They gave us an unforgivable and personal Alaska adventure. A must do.
