I booked a kayak trip through Groupon and my girlfriend and I headed south in her truck and travel trailer for the weekend. The road out to Miller's Landing scared the heck out of us as the road is narrow with a cliff on one side and the ocean on the other. We arrived late Friday night and were advised... More

Stayed in a rental RV on the waterfront. I agree with several other reviewers that the web pictures seem to exaggerate the appearance of the campground. I have to admit that the weather does impact the review. It was clear that the staff was trying to keep the bathrooms clean, but it was an uphill battle with the muddy conditions.... More

Stopped by Miller's Landing to rent several Kayaks. The manager pulled us aside and questioned our experience etc.... I appreciate the safety protocol. We explained our experience in both sea and white water kayaking. Described our rescue technique and offered to demonstrate it in the water. The Manager refused to let us perform the rescue technique as a demonstration of... More

The place is a hub for fishing trip, kayaking and camping. It is a little further down the road, but good thing is it is not so crowded with people. The night before we left, the cloud broke out and showed the full view of the bay. It is beautiful there.

We booked what Miller's calls a "backpacker" room for an overnight prior to a lunch cruise. The pics online could not have been more deceptive. They show a nice clean, but small room. We walked into a room with the sheets in a pile on the dirty floor. One pillow in a room for 2 adults. Food crumbs in the... More

If you go to their website, you will find all sort of kayak tours that they offer. We never kayak before so we decided we want to take a short trip 1-2 hours, and it was last minute too. But miller's landing accommodated us and the tour guide took good care of us. We hopped on a water taxi and... More

Visted millers over ten years ago. Owners were helpful, friendly , gracious. That was then. But not any more. Told me to catch cab from seward to get there for my salmon charter. Seemed simple enough except when cruise ship in town there are no cabs. Made 10 different calls with no luck. Called millers and they could not find... More

Kathy and I had a nice time kayaking to Cain's Head and hiking to the fort/gun emplacement on top of the head. It was a nice combination of paddling and hiking that made for a fun day that provided a reasonable amount of exercise, but was not overly demanding. I'm 68 (and fit) and it was great!

We stayed in two of the rentals at and near Miller's Landing. The area along the water has gorgeous scenery and makes for beautiful photo options. We also saw a lot of eagles which let us get very close to them.

Went out for a full day of fishing. Halibut was the main target species. Caught Halibut, Salmon and Rock Fish. Good captain and mate put us on good fish.
