We weren’t sure about sitting on a train for 8 hours, but the time flew because the trip was so enjoyable! The train traveled fairly slow which was perfect for sightseeing. The guides were not only very informative but they were also a lot of...More

we took the train from Anchorage to Seward. We went first class and got breakfast and drinks. It was a great trip probably the longest I could spend on a train. I thought there would be some commentary but apparently it was broken which was...More

What a terrific ride from Seward to Anchorage. We had an excellent meal in the dining car - I had the smoked salmon salad and it was delish. The views were spectacular. You got a great view from your seat or you could go outside....More

Great, comfortable, clean, and interesting commentary along the way. The assigned seats are nice, and we lucked out by getting our seats near the clear roof cart - which provided great views. Our group was mom, dad and 9-month-old baby.

We were so excited to book a classic journey through parts of Alaska. Boarding WEX couches at Fairbanks to Denali, then Denali to Talkeetna. The dome carriages that we took were so comfortable and the staff informative and fun. Although we didn't partake in the...More

This was definitely a nicer way to see the sights vs by bus from Anchorage to Seward. Couldn't think of a more relaxing way to travel to my cruise ship and see the sights from a different perspective.

After our Alaska cruise terminated in Seward, we needed to get to Anchorage to catch a flight home in a few days. Friends recommended we take the 4-hour scenic train ride to get there. It turned out to be one of the highlights, as well...More
