The fort interior has been completely restored although at the time of our visit some works were going on in the surrounding area outside. Entrance is combined with access to the Ston Walls (70 Kuna per adult) and as such was worth a look however apart from a climb onto the battlements for a view and some cannons there is not much to see. There was no information about the history of the fort as far as we could make out.

Stunning as you come into the city. You can readily see how this coupled with the walls would make this city impregnable.

We stopped in Ston with a group and toured the fort, the wall and the salt pans. Visiting the fort is a 15 minute stop but has great views of the wall and surrounding area. Worth a stop! Includes a history lesson related to the importance of salt back when the fort and wall were built.
