About
Peljesac Peninsula , a place where sun, sea and stone create a perfect home for Plavac Mali , indigenous Dalmatian variety that brings out the best from the "barren land" and gives us "divine nectar." Marlais family, that drags roots from France, settled on the peninsula in the early 17th century, bringing with them the knowledge that every Frenchman has in its blood - how to make good wine.

The taste of Marlais wines speaks for itself. We had rarely enjoyed in such a good wines. The whole Marlais family are great people and also very friendly to all of their guests. They are very devoted in what they do which definitly reslults in high quality of their products. Besides amazing wines we have also enjoyed in great taste of high quality organic olive oils. You can come anytime for a unique tasting experience. We can definitely recomend Marlais winery as one of the best places on Peljesac which will stay in your memory for a long time.

Fantastic winery and the owner, Ante, was a great host, giving us a tour and tasting session with bread and cheese. You can buy wines, olive oil and liquor to take home - all reasonably priced - and delicious. Hvala!

We were on our way from Split to Dubrovnik and desired to stop
At one of the wineries along the way. We initially stopped at Milo’s Winery, but we didn’t have a reservation and they were booked. They suggested Marlais Winery. We jumped back in our car and drove a little further to Marlais. They are in the harvest season and there was only one person around, Ana. She was gracious enough to host us for a tasting. She shared 3 of the wines they produce. We tried the white-Dispet, and two red varieties- Plavac Mail and Krepar. My wife really liked the Dispet and Plavac Mail, I liked the Krepar. Ana made up a plate of cheeses and bread and we had a lovely hour chatting about the wines and the winery. My wife even got to help label a bottle of wine.

We left with a couple of bottles and great memories. Thanks Ana!

Great wine testing and winery visit from very kind, knowledgeable and professional staff. Definitely worth a visit to taste (and buy) some of their excellent quality Croatian wine. Also produce their own olive oil and delicious liqueurs.

We visited few days ago and we have only great things to say. It’s a beautiful local winery, run by a family and their wines are amazing. You won’t regret doing a wine tasting here. They also produce their own olive oil which is superb. Nice and friendly host.

We really enjoyed stopping by Marlais and trying the wines. Ante gave us a tour of the facility and explained each wine in detail (in English). The selection was impressive and we left with a box to take home. We will definitely stop by again if we are in the area!

Anton gave us a tour of the facility and we got to see how the wine goes from harvest to bottling at the this family owned establishment. Anton was so personable and proud of his product. We had the 3 wine tasting menu with 1 white and 2 reds. All were excellent. If I could figure out a way to ship them to the US I would have bought a few cases. The carob Sherry was insanely good. I definitely recommend a stop at this winery.

We took an oyster and wine tasting tour with Doria Ltd. One of the two wineries was the Marlais Winery. A small hard working family run winery for 8 generations. Wow was it amazing to see how hard they work to produce such amazing wines. I personally am not a wine drinker at home but have found a love for Croatian wines.

From the moment we arrived at the winery we were greeted like family. Father and son were in the process of making white wines when we arrived.

They do it all at this winery, grow the grapes, make the wine, bottle the wine, and label the wine. All done by “hand” no big machinery to bottle, cork or label the wine.

The winery is basically run out of their home and the experience was second to none. Book a tour with Doria Ltd so they can take you here, you will not be disappointed. We felt great pleasure to purchase wine and olive oil from such a hard working family.

Malais Winery thanks for such a great wine tasting experience and treating us like part of the family.

We had a lovely time at this family-owned and operated winery. Despite being hard at work on the harvest, they took time to give us a lovely tasting. We ordered the cheese and charcuterie board to accompany it, with a favorite being the local sheep cheese. If you are in the area, I highly recommend you stop in - you'll be glad you did!
