I live in Kona and have been on this many times because whenever someone comes to visit this is the one thing that i want to do every time. When you live here and have visitors come you get tired of doing the same thing over and over so we usually give people directions and meet up for dinner with... More

To start off, after I made the reservation for my parents, wife and I to go on the BBQ snorkel trip, Fair Wind literally contacted me 3 times to confirm the time/date/what to bring in the 2 days leading up to the boat trip. They are very organized and from the time you step on the boat their staff is... More

This was our 6th trip on the Fair Winds II in 5 years. Kealakekua Bay is our favorite snorkel spot on Big Island. We saw several whales on the cruise down and back. The BBQ sure tastes great after a morning floating effortlessly in the turquoise waters with abundant and colorful reef fish.

We've been to the Big Island a dozen times, feel we've experienced nearly everything, but had never made it to Kealakekua Bay (Captain Cook) because of the difficulty in getting there, which requires a four-mile hike, renting a kayak, or taking a charter such as the Fair Wind. We took the Fair Wind and had a great time. The staff... More

We LOVE the Fair-Wind. Have been taking it about 25+ years now. Always a great relaxing time. Snorkeling is excellent and time in the water is perfect. Great sight seeing, snorkeling, food experience. Take it, it will be a highlight of your trip.

My 82 YO mother and I took the Afternoon Snorkel Cruise on the Fair Wind II. I chose it because of the wide stairs that descend into the water for easy entry and exit from the water. We were not disappointed and any way. The only thing I was concerned about was getting on and off of the boat from... More

Our party consisted of 3 adults and two children. We all had a great time on the Fair Wind. The crew was very pleasant and helpful. The kids and the big kids enjoyed the slides and jumping off the side of the boat. Enjoyed the snorkeling too!

A great family outing in Kona. Highly recommend for families with kids. Great snorkeling and might even catch a few whales along the way. Crew was very helpful and knowledgeable.

We took the Fairwind morning snorkel cruise last year and liked it so much that we went again this year. What did we like about it? Well, the crew were personable young people who knew what they were doing, whether teaching tourists how to use the gear, giving a safety briefing or keeping a vigilant eye, one at each corner... A great experience, and snorkeling at Captain Cook is one of the best places to snorkel on the island. The crew were very helpful and informative. The food was to be expected, continental breakfast and bbq lunch. Fair Wind did a great job accommodating us since we were originally scheduled to go out 3 days prior to the trip, but... More
