Mahalo to all the Big Island crew. Did a 2 tank morning dive. Turtles, dolphins, yellow frog fish WHAT??? Oh ya. Then the night dive with the mantas. UNBELIEVABLE!! 5 showed up and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my diving career, of my life for that matter. Big Island Divers came highly recommended and now I... More

NO MANTAS DURING NIGHT DIVE. ALMOST MISSED ENTIRE DIVE DUE TO DIVE SHOP MISTAKE. Traveled from California for this dive. The lack of information was a bit disheartening. We were not told what to bring and what not to bring. I had mentioned we will be bringing booties, mask and snorkel. I was not told there were no adjustable fits... More

Big Island Divers is a great service and I highly recommend the guides. They are highly experienced and care about their customers. I would definitely use them again. My criticism are not of this service, but the over-commercialization/crowding of the Manta snorkels. It was definitely a once in a lifetime experience but one shared with dozens of other people in... I joined the Big Island Divers group on a few dives in my recent Kona trip. I did the 2 tank night dive, with the first one being in the "Manta-Heaven" dive site. Amazing experience seeing the huuuuuuge manta rays "fly" above us (and sometimes straight into us). No words can describe it. Just do it! Next we went on... More

Incredible. The experience is totally worth it. The manta rays are bigger than you think and are really quite majestic. Big island divers were amazing hosts and guides. We were snorkelling, but next time, we will be diving 😄

I am a Kona resident who decided to finally try the night manta ray snorkle trip. Unfortunately we didn't see a single manta ray. While I know we're dealing with mother nature here, I sort of expected Big Island Divers to offer us a free trip to go out again since there were no Manta Rays. Was very dissapointed when... More

Aloha PR D! We are sorry to hear you did not have any manta rays on your charter! As we state on our website: "Manta rays, dolphins, whales, and other marine life are wild creatures and their presence is affected by surf conditions, seasonal changes and the quantity of food in the water. No guarantees are made for their presence.... More

HUGE Mahalo to Capt. Zane and Leao for an amazing twilight/night dive this past Wednesday! Your enthusiasm for Kona's wildlife, diving and making sure our Jr. PADI diver had on fun her first night dive was really appreciated! Just when we thought the Mantas wouldn't come, Zane and Leao must have got some on speed-dial because shortly after we had... More

My wife and I enjoyed their Manta Ray night snorkel adventure. Our guides, Addy & Josh, were extremely knowledgeable & friendly. We saw Manta Rays up close and personal just by snorkeling! I would highly recommend this to anybody visiting the Kona coast of the Big Island.

Very fun and organized shop! Rob and I enjoyed their energy while on the boat heading to our dive locations. Also, they provided tasty wraps for us to eat between dives. More importantly, I had ear issues on my first dive. They were so supportive when I wasn't able to get down to join the group. Chris helped me with... More
