They say it's open bar and we all thought the mai tais had alcohol but after 7 each and no buzz we figured it out- there is little to no alcohol in the mixed drinks. I feel we were tricked and I think you should get what you pay for. The food was good and the entertainment good but the... More

When visiting Kona Hawaii luau is a must to see. We opted to see the show at Royal Kona and we recommend it as great show, awesome food and great value. Traditional Hawaii fare is served buffet style. Pig cooked in the traditional fire pit was delicious. Open bar serves drinks from 5 to 7 pm. Show was truly entertaining.... More

We had read the reviews which most seemed good so we decided to try it out, however no I understand the negative ones. We made sure to get there early since it says first come first serve on the reserved seating. We were the 2nd couple in line and the hostess said there is none. I said that makes no... More

The Royal Kina Resort Luau was excellent. They had great pre show activities like flower bracelet making, temporary tattoos for the kids. The show was great and the food was good. Definitely a must do when in Kona Hawaii. Our 8 year old loved it and we had front row seats.

First, We had a Boss Room 2nd flr facing the luau and the sunset. So we had an opportunity to see 3 shows. The Hostess of the luau has a beautiful voice smooth like Marilyn McCoo. I enjoyed how seamlessly she and the dancers transitioned through each set. The Males dancers were good looking eye candy for the ladies. And... More

Beautiful setting for a luau. Very cool to see the pig dug up for dinner. Food was great and the show was dynamic and entertaining. The fire dancer was amazing! Loved the crafts and interaction for the kids before the show. The MC did not disappoint with just the right and expected combination of funny and cheesy.

The luau was fantastic from start to finish. the food was very good and the entertainment was spectacular, we really enjoyed it.All the dancers did a fantastic job. We enjoyed the fire twirler he did a great job. The band also did a great job and the gentlemen who unearthed the pig from the pit did it very ceremoniously. Enjoyed

This Luau was wonderful. The performances were based on all of our Polynesian destinations across the Pacific and they were very warming and heartfelt. The food was great - very traditional! The beverages were great too!

A very enjoyable evening. There was an open bar until 7:00p. The show was fun. The food was very good, although we all found, to our surprise, that the kalua pork was our least favorite dish (not bad, just sort of bland). The dancers made themselves available for pictures after the show, which was nice. -1 for crowded seating that... More
