This boat harbor is probably one of the Earth's premiere boat harbors for big game fishing, but you would barely know it. It is not snobby or she-she, it's the real deal. I went fishing with Captain Kenny Llanes on the Vixen for a for my food show called the Culinary Edge TV and it was one of the most... More

This was a fun spot to watch the fishing boats bring in there catch and weight them at the bite me bar .Also there is a great swimming hole through the back of the parking lot that you can see turtles and it is protected by a reef so the swimming is comfortable.

In the back of the harbor is a place where you can park at the ocean and watch the dolphins playing. Beautiful stop, wit 2 little beach areas. The harbors restaurant serves good beer and great calamaris

I have taken several snorkel out of this harbor over the years. A few days ago I took one with "Hang Loose" and we saw at least a hundred dolphins and were able to snorkel with them . Also stopped at Captain Cooks. Simon, the owner was wonderful and took my 13 year old granddaughter out personally as she was... More

A large fleet of independent and company-owned boats for deep sea fishing. Private and group charters available. Our boat caught 3 fish!

Well this is not really a destination but a place of embarkation - for fishing, snorkeling, and diving. Having lived around waterfronts for most of my life I appreciated the well constructed piers and storage areas. We came here for a night snorkel with the manta rays - something I will review separately.

We have been there several times and found 2 small restaurant/bars in the area, both interesting and quaint. You can watch the fishermen bring their catch into the back door of the restaurant. That is pretty fresh. Also, at the end of the parking lot is a surprise trail to the ocean and a bay full of Green Sea Turtles....what... More

This is close to the Kona airport. We drove in and went close to the shoreline where we could watch the fishing boats come in. One had a big ahi tuna. Local people told us about 3 beaches close by which we walked through. One had several sea turtles close to shore. Very cool. This is where the Sea Wife... More

Loved - we went to watch fishing boats come in. Love the local - they chatted up a storm and I learned a lot. As a bonus we saw sea turtles , rays and a shark hanging out in the boat channel.
