Absolutely DELICIOUS cookies!! They are in an industrial part of town between the Kona airport and the city of Kona. Pretty easy to find as long as you map it. They are famous for the chocolate dipped mac cookies and those are fantastic but be sure to try other flavors too. My favorite it the traditional Hawaiian wedding cookies. You will end up with powdered sugar all over yourself, but it will be worth it!! We visited two different times during our week long stay because we ate them up too fast!

I cook and bake and I find most bakery cookies to be too sweet. I like rich, but restrain the sugar so that it isn’t dominant. Hello Mrs. Barry’s Kona Cookies. These are pricey (but what isn’t in Hawai’i) but they are good about 1 1/2 dozen flavours to choose from. Not having the ingredients or inclination to bake in Hawai’i, these are the next best thing to top notch home made cookies. Mrs. Barry’s is located in the same commercial/industrial park that Costco is in - in fact, from HI-19 you have to go right past Mrs. Barry’s to get to Costco. So with the savings you get from Costco on gas, liquor and other basics, splurge on some Mrs. Barry’s Kona Cookies.

Located in an industrial area near Costco and the airport, this cookie shop makes the best chocolate-dipped (milk or dark) shortbread cookies. There is a small parking lot or you can find street parking. It was our 1st time visit, so we bought both types of choco-dipped shortbread cookies and a bag of mixed cookies (to try the variety) for omiyage to family on the mainland. OMG, everyone went nuts (no pun intended) for the shortbread cookies!

Although pricey ~$1/cookie, they are the most authentic & delicious treats from HI. Make sure you bring enough back because your friends/family will be clamoring for them and they will be gone in no time. There is no shop in Honolulu but you can buy these cookies online.

We gassed up our car rental at Costco, stopped by Mrs. Barry before heading to the airport. They survived the flight in our hand-luggage. However, next time, we will have to check them in else they'll be eaten up on the flight home.

Was looking to see if the Honolulu Cookie Company was on the island to get something for my friend and was sad to not find it. Amazingly, I spotted this little gem on the way to Costco. Glad we stopped by. Love that you can sample almost all the varieties. You can purchase individually or get them by the box. If you like crispy on the outside, this is your place. These cookies are not the soft and gooey kind. I tend to like those type more, but I really enjoyed these despite me typically not liking crispy. Highly recommend you make a stop here if you like cookies! I really think they are the best in Kona!

Located near the Kona airport with ample parking, my wife and I stopped by on a recent visit to the Big Island before heading back to Oahu. If you like your cookies thin and crispy, you will love Mrs. Barry’s concoctions. Personally, I prefer mine thick and chewy. I did enjoy their award winning Chocolate Chip Mac Nut cookies, so we took a dozen of them home for us to enjoy, and got our relatives, bags of assorted cookies, which included Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter, Oatmeal Raisin, Chocolate Dipped Mac Nut Shortbread, Coffee Crunch and other morsels of delight.

Born and raised on Oahu, every time I head back, I am always sure to take with me several bags of these delicious cookies. Japanese call it "omiyage" or gift. Local style is to always bring gifts to and/or back home, when traveling, and these cookies are perfect. I'm also sure to pick up a dozen for myself, to eat while waiting at the airport. My favorite? Chocolate chip and the chocolate whirl.

Located below Costco, near the airport, be sure to take some home with you. Guaranteed to make and keep you friends and family happy!

We stopped by Mrs. Barry's on our way to the airport. We were there about half-an-hour tops buying a variety of those delicious cookies.
After paying, we drove out to find the traffic backed some distance. Hoping to find another exit, there was none. Stay in line or you'll end up farther back, I know, it happened us.
In this business district, you will find Costco and you know what that means. Also many people were getting off of work in the area.
Word of advice, give yourself ample time if you have a flight to catch.

Aloha Dexter, Thank you for stopping by and getting cookies. I'm glad you enjoyed them. So sorry you got stuck in the mishap traffic that day, there was a police incident that took us all by surprise. The traffic is never like that. We hope to see you again on your next Kona visit. Mahalo, Candice

Better than any home made cookie I've ever had. Very helpful service and besides having your cookies bagged to order, they are also individually bagged, sealed and boxed for shipping or packing in your suitcase.
