Went on a whale watching cruise with Pele and Brad and we were not seeing any whales. They offered to stay out longer and sure enough, we saw several Humpbacks including a mother and her calf just off the boat. Naturally, seeing whales is not a guarantee but the Wahine team did all they could to help us succeed. The compliments do not end with the boat crew. The woman answering the phones in the office was wonderful. One day before our cruise, there was still a question of whether or not we would have enough people to go out. She kept us informed along the way including an immediate call when the cruise was confirmed. It was clear, she (on behalf of Wahine) did not want us to waste time standing by to find out if our cruise was a go or not. Thanks to all for making this trip a great experience.

Had an incredible experience on Wahine Charters last week. The crew were exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable and the wildlife in the area was outstanding. We spotted dolphins soon after we left the harbor and were in the water with them not long after. Such an amazing experience being able to see these beautiful creatures in the wild! From there we spotted some whales surfacing and were able to listen to them through an on board hydrophone. Last stop was at Captain Cook monument where there is some great snorkeling and fascinating history! 100% would recommend!

Great Whale watching today with Captain Pat and mate Paoe, took great care of us with refreshments, fresh pineapple cut on board, cultural knowledge. Great care and boat driving when one of our party fell under the weather. Saw tiger shark and sea turtle before leaving marina, two whales do full breach, multiple others surface nearby. Bucket list checked!

The “Moonlight Manta Swim” is an amazing experience! The crew were incredibly friendly and knowledgable about the ocean and the wildlife in the area. When we stopped at the site we had 5 or so large Manta-Rays swim up to us, it was incredible getting to see these majestic creatures so close. 100% would recommend!! These guys also give you $20 off if you book a second tour - well worth making the most of this!

I cannot overemphasize how cool the night snorkel with manta rays was with our excellent guide Paoe and our first-rate boat driver Paul. We were fortunate to have 6 mantas ranging from 8-12 feet across feeding below our light board - the rays come within inches of you and actually touched some of the participants. A surreal experience and one I'll never forget. Wahine Charters has a small boat with personal attention to each passenger - Paoe was well-informed and entertaining and got us where we needed to be to see the rays up close and personal. The boat also stopped to observe a group of spinner dolphins on the way to the manta ray site, which was cool. I realize there may be times when not as many rays show up, but if none appear you get to go again free; however, for me this was one of the best travel experiences I have ever had, bar none. I'd give it 6 stars if I could, and it should not be missed on a visit to Kona
