Amazing experience with Dastan and Wasabi Tours

Wow this was a great experience!! We had a rental car but decided to book this tour because of all the great reviews, would highly recommend! Dastan was our guide and driver and boy can he multi-task! He knew so much about the history and culture of the island, it made the 12 hour tour that much more interesting! He was also such a safe driver and made all the times perfect at each stop. The food was excellent and we enjoyed all parts of the tour but our favorites by far were the twilight volcano tour, we got to see the red glow at night and he took us to a remote area for star gazing. The sky was filled with stars, jam packed and he was calling out the different constellations and we even saw a falling star, just beautiful and a perfect end to the tour!

Amazing Tour/Amazing Tour Guide

Four of us took the Grand Island Circle Tour with Wasabi and came away thoroughly impressed! Our guide, Dru, was the best!!! He had a unique style that kept everyone engaged throughout the 12 hour tour! All four people in our group are recently retired teachers with over 125 years of experience between us. We can recognize greatness when it comes to educating an audience and Dru was simply amazing. His unique style kept us entertained and he was able to bring the whole group of 13 people with diverse backgrounds together so we all felt we made new friends by the end of the tour! I highly recommend this tour as a way to get an overall knowledge of the Big Island and its amazing and evolving history.

Awesome tour guide on Big Island tour

Booked a Big Island round trip tour which takes about 12 hours. Picked up directly from hotel. This tour is suitable for first timers and to know the island better. Our tour guide, Jacklyn was awesome, energetic, passionate, enthusiastic with her job and very knowledgeable about the island. She even decorated the van for easy recognition. She really enjoys and like her job. She does a really good job in explaining every stops in the itinerary or even not in the itinerary. She knows the place well. Would recommend her as your tour guide if you decided to book this Big Island tour!

Unforgettable day

Absolutely amazing day packed with beautiful things to see and do! A 12 hour tour may seem a little intense but it was worth every minute and every penny spent! Dru was our guide and was so knowledgeable and FUN! He made the experience even better. Shared great stories and legends of Hawaii with us that really stuck with me and made me want to learn more! Volcanos National Park was mind blowing and he crammed as much in as he could! I was iffy on going back to Hawaii again (long flight) but he makes you fall in love with it and now I can’t imagine not returning! Bay View Coffee Farm had beautiful views where we sat and had lunch and sampled delicious coffee. The black sand beach was stunning and the bakery had yummy treats and a friendly staff. Had dinner at the Lava Rock Cafe and then back to the resort! Take this tour and ask for Dru, you won’t regret it!

Great Day

Our guide for the day was Awana on the Big Circle Tour. He is fun and so easy going. He started the group off by encouraging us to get to know each other, which is important since you are together for 11+ hours. We had our 16 mo. old grandson with us and he was so positive about it. Everyone in the van took cues from him and the baby had a great day. Awana was full of current and historical information interspersed with humor. The spacing of the stops was perfect and the trip was a wonderful way to get a general overview of the island. Highly recommend.

Circle Island Tour of Big island

Full day11 hour tour around the Big island met and exceeded expectations and worth the money. Our guide was Brian who was extremely informative, interesting and knowledgeable. Conveyed everything with anecdotes and personal stories that kept our attention the entire time. Made each of us feel he was our own personal guide. Highly recommend.

Reigning Champion of Tour Guides

If Jeopardy were to host an episode on all things Hawaii, Wasabi tour guide, Drew, would be the reigning champion. This man is a wealth of information. He knows history. He knows mythology. He knows geography. He knows volcanology. He knows botany. He knows astronomy. Alex Trebek couldn’t stump this guy, AND he’s entertaining! We book tours when traveling, because we want to know as much as possible about the location. Drew delivers like very few tour guides do. Put this guy in Paris, or even Africa and I have a feeling that in short order, he’d be the area’s expert tour guide. He has studied up. He is practiced. It shows. We will seek him out on our next trip, and we will recommend him to fellow travelers.

Island in a day

From reading other reviews, I knew I was hoping to get Derek as a guide. From start to finish,he is a real gem. He brought our group of nine together into a little family. He took special time to talk to each person individually throughout the day. He carefully listened for each person’s passions so he could point out sites or add stories. He was full of mythology, jokes, and serious asides that made the day special. It was nice to get perspectives from someone who has lived here a very long time, but is not a native.
Truth be told, the tour was a little long for us, but we would now follow Derek on tour anywhere!

Wonderful way to learn about the Big Island

We took this trip as our way to learn about the Big Island and Wasabi Tours did an excellent job. Our tour guide Dreu Bassaidua was the best and made the van full of people to be comfortable on the full-day trip. Dreu is an amazing guide and provided plenty of information about the history, geography, flaura, and fauna of the island. He gave us plenty of time to stop and enjoy the sites along the way, with options to extend time at some of the more exciting places. The lunch provided was yummy and we had plenty of restroom stops alonf the way. We will certainly look forward to our next visit to Hawaii and will have Wasabi as our prime tour company.

Big Island tour with Wasabi Tours was such a joy!

Our guide, Miexia Ahloy, was such an accommodating, knowledgeable, and jovial guy that it made the 12 stop visits to the various beautiful spots where Wasabi tour takes you on the big island a breeze.
The nice new vans with comfortable seating made the 340-mile travel as if one were still fresh and agile at the end of the tour.
Definitely recommend anyone considering enjoying the natural beauty and the beautiful and significant locations to not hesitate at all employing their touring services.
