My family really enjoyed the glass-bottom boat tour. My six-year-old daughter took hundreds of photos through the glass bottom, and Kat patiently answered all of my eight-year-old daughter's questions. I appreciated the set-up of the glassbottom viewing areas: we really could all be seated and see the bottom! And we were invited to check out the other viewing boxes if... More

This is a way to see some reef fish if you don't snorkel.  It's nothing like snorkeling at Captain Cook, but still a good variety of fish.  Cas was very helpful in identifying fish and keeping us entertained with various tid bits.  Be aware that looking thru a large rectangular porthole (I'd guess 3' x 6') in the bottom on... Kat & Captain are a pleasure to be with on this wonderfully exploratory ride out along the coastal waters of Kailua-Kona! The Captain was so cool he even swam aboard the morning we set sail. Overall a great time was had by all; fun, informative and great for the little ones too! A great way to get out of the... More

I highly recommend this tour for people of all ages. The staff is extremely knowledgeable about the sea habitat and can answer all of your questions regarding it. They are very accommodating for guests (my parents came also) of all ages- I had my 2 year old with me and he had a blast!

We went out on a hot day and it was wonderful to be out on the Ocean. The layout of the boat gives everyone a view of the bottom and provides shade to those who want it. The boat was spotless and spacious. We also went snorkeling and Captain Ralph made sure that I had the gear that I needed... More

I enjoyed this very much. I didn't see as much as I had hoped through the glass bottom and taking pictures of the dolphins was a challenge, but I would do it again. Be prepared to jockey for position to do the dolphin-watching because there's just not enough room - and there were only about ten people on my cruise.... More

We are delighted that you enjoyed your ride on the Marian. Seat as close as possible to the bow of the boat for easier access to the outside should dolphins appear. Marian also has large port holes both port and starboard that provide great over water viewing. Mahalo for taking the time to share. More

We experienced the glass bottom boat from the harbor in Kailua Bay. We saw multiple fish, and sea creatures, coral, while slowly moving along the coastline. The trip can cause nausea at times but it was worth the trip. We also had spinner dolphins playing along side our boat. They jump and spin in the air. We had a great... More

So happy you had a fantastic day on our glassbottom boat Marian! She has ample sitting and viewing areas, but also has a large deck area to comfort the sea shy. Thanks for sharing! More

Glass bottomed boat was the closest we could get to scuba diving in our old age. I have to say that the reef wasn't as colorful as I'd expected. Not Kailua Bay's fault but still... But is so happened that there were several large pods of dolphins in the bay and the captain stayed out in that area so we... More

So happy that we were able to get you out to learn about the ocean from Cat - she is fabulous! So lucky of you to have a chance to see the dolphins, too! We take pride is making the ocean accessible to young children, the ocean shy and others who prefer to stay dry during their ocean adventures. So... More
