Unit 314 is the corner unit right next to the park. The noise from the park and lack of privacy makes the unit not as desirable as the other third and second floor units. Over the years I have stayed in several units E.G. #311 and I suggest going for one of the remodeled units in the center of the building. The views are always great. The beach can get overwhelmed with tourists, so you also might want to consider further down Alii Drive, closer to the stores.

We went to Magic Sands to have a drink and appetizers on their beautiful outdoor deck, we waited for at least 20 minutes, and we were not even recognized. We got up and left. The next day we thought we would try it again. This time we did get water served, but again no one came to take our order so we left again. Will not try this place again.

Saw some people swimming but would have been too rough for me. The sunsets were stunning every night. We stayed next to this beach. Pretty busy beach.

We spent most days here during our time in Kona. The beach looks small, but has plenty of space to spread out in the sun or shade. Amount of available beach varies a lot depending on whether or not the tide has swept most of the sandy beach out to the ocean. Water condition can be calm or choppy depending on the day - but lifeguards do a great job of helping people know how it is and where it is safe to enter/exit the water.

Checking out! Enjoyed a wonderful stay in your beach themed bungalow! Canceled a drive to a Beach when we discovered how close your lively magic sands beach actually is! Particularly enjoyed your delightful lanai. Mahalo! Dick & Mary Beth
