We booked the manta ray night dive and had a great experience, from start to finish. DM Doug and captain Ryan took care of everything during our dive trip and went above and beyond to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. From the moment we checked in they were super friendly and welcoming. We were very lucky to see at least two mantas on our dive, and see one or them stay and hang out right above us for most of our dive. Truly a life-changing experience. Would highly recommend Aquatic life divers to anyone looking to dive in Kona.…

I did three dives with Aquatic Life - the two tank morning dive and the one tank manta night dive. DMs Doug, Frank, Calypso and Holly, and Captain Ryan were all exceptional - fun, friendly, competent and knowledgeable. As I had done several dives with another outfit earlier in the week, they chose sites I hadn’t been to yet. Additionally, they are passionate about the ocean and conservation, and Holly and I spent some time cleaning fishing line and debris off the reef. As for the manta dive - life changing. It’s popular, to be sure, but for very good reason. Nothing can describe being next to these amazing creatures. I went on my 40th birthday, and was graced with several wing taps on the head, and a full on face plant into my mask - not to mention two monk seals at the very beginning. Top ten experiences of my life - highly recommended.…

5-star day. The diving was great but the boat and the crew set Aquatic Life Divers apart from the rest. The boat was a bit bigger than the other local outfits so you feel less like a sardine. The double hulls made it more stable and the bean bag chairs in the bow seating area were awesome! The crew was amazing. Over the two days, Frank, Kyle, and Tara were exceptional. I tagged along as my son was getting his open water cert. Tara was a great Divemaster. She made sure he knew what to expect during certification dives and was super knowledgeable with the sites. She pointed out several finds (octopus, pipefish, frogfish) during the dives. High fives all around.…

Aquatic Life is everything you want in a diving company and more! My sister and I did the morning two-tank dive with Tara as our divemaster and Kyle as the boat captain. These were our first post-OW certification dives so we were a little nervous to dive with a large group, however there were only 3 other additional divers in the group. Tara made it fun and stress-free. She was friendly, patient, and knowledgable underwater. We also ended up doing the one-tank night manta ray dive, which was incredible! Calypso was our divemaster and Connor was the boat captain. When we reached the dive site, Mason (snorkel guide) gave the group a brief overview of manta rays followed by a dive briefing by Calypso. The dive boats are clean, spacious, and well-stocked with food and drinks. Their rental gear was in great condition and BCDs are weight-integrated. They have a great selection of wetsuit weights and sizes. Again, I cannot say enough positive things about Aquatic Life Divers and their crew that we interacted with. We will definitely choose them again when we return to the Big Island!…
