We enjoyed our trip to the coffee company. Learned how the coffee actually makes it to my cup. Wow. I will never take my cup of Java for granted again.

Cool tour led by a cool tour guide. Great tasting of their coffee and coffee cherrie tea. High up in the mountains but worth the trip.

We debated on the roast master lesson, but because of lack of time we went on the free tour. The tour was educational with a great guide. We took the information with us to other stores and coffee spots. An overall positive experience. However, we totally lucked out as there was only one other family on tour with us. The... More

Mountain Thunder is a beautiful coffee farm in the hills above Kona. All organic and 100% Kona certified. Not only is the coffee the best I have had, the tour was fun!

A stop at Mountain Thunder Coffee was part of another tour that we did on Kona. We watched a video featuring Mike Rowe of Tv's Dirty Jobs as he helped with the coffee production. Samples were available and for those of you who left your cats behind, while on vacation, there are some friendly cats at this stop! A nice... More

Stopped by on thr way out. The coffee we sampled was awesome and can't wait to get home and drink some of the coffee we purchased. Nice informative free and quick tour. There is a more in depth paid tour for those that have more time. I got all I needed from the free one.

We stayed in area for two weeks in May 2016, and did five (my GF loves coffee and really wanted to sample and see all of the Kona options for coffee tours and of course, coffee). No question, best tour and tour guide was Mt Thunder and Bobby the guide. Funny, flexible, infomative and best of all, tailored to group... More

I have to say, I picked this tour because the name sounded cool and I wanted a cool T-shirt ;) It was great, learned a lot about how coffee is made and the work involved it it. This plantation boasts having their plantation at the highest elevation on the island. They almost boast having the 6th best coffee in the... More

Enjoyed our visit and tour of Mountain Thunder. You an learn a lot in a free 30 minute tour. Also enjoyed the ride up to the place and its nice and shaded. We did buy some of the organic coffee and after learning more will probably never be able to drink Folgers again! We were spoiled for ten days with... More
