Overview
More
Captain Zodiac has entertained guests for over 42 years on our exciting 24-foot Zodiac rafts. You will see the rugged coastline up close as you explore a sea cave and see exposed lava tubes, blowholes and archways. You will snorkel in the crystal clear waters of Kealakekua Bay Marine preserve viewing over 150 varieties of fish. You must keep a sharp eye out for pods of dolphins, whales and other marine mammals that come close to our rafts. The Zodiac ride is fast, fun and educational! You will hear about the Hawaiian history of the area, learn about marine life behaviors and learn the island’s geology.

Captain Dave and Devante were amazing guides as we traveled to Kealakekua Bay to snorkel. Saw Dolphins and a few humpback whales and loved the speed and maneuverable of the Zodiac--so much fun!!! I HIGHLY recommend this as a local who LOVES the water. This...More

The snorkeling was amazing, and we got to swim with dolphins! We saw a humpback whale on the way, along with other great sights. The crew was knowledgeable and entertaining. I would highly recommend for families. Captain Colin and Lana were top notch, and very...More

I give this outfit props for up front warning us that they had to cancel the first dive trip of the day for poor visiblility - they certainly can't foretell the chop/surge on any given winter day but the sun was out and it seemed...More

The variety of marine life in the shallow reef of Kealakekua Bay is a perfect snorkeling spot, and the fun, high-speed boats of Captain Zodiac is a fun way to get there! The crew members are friendly & knowledgeable about the area, the geography and...More

This is not an average snorkel trip! Very fun because it is a smaller boat. Takes 20 people which is a little crowded but it works. Crew was very friendly and accommodating. Seating is strictly on the side of the boat so if you have...More

Booked it through NCL, more pricey but couldn't do it another way. We were first on board the raft with Devante and Captain Zac who were both helpful, informative and made you feel relaxed. We sat at the front and it was fast, action packed...More

We saw hundreds of dolphins on this tour. The snorkeling was nice as were the captain and helper. The ride on the zodiac was bit uncomfortable when the boat is at max speed but fun anyway.

We were on an NCL cruise so I do not know. They picked us up at the dock. The excursion was excellent though. My daughter did it a second time a week later.
