Olea Prima olive oils are among the few in Istria that are certified both organic and extra virgin. They are 100% cold-pressed to preserve the highest levels of flavor, nutrients, and anti-oxidants.Olea Prima is a small, family-run business located in Southern Istria. Our pride is in producing flavorful and healthy gourmet olive oils in the finest tradition. We tend our trees with organic, sustainable methods, harvest by hand at optimum ripeness.

Highly recommended stop at this rare certified organic (bio) olive oil shop. It's really a tiny family run operation where you'll literally be sitting in their large dining room kitchen, but a very interesting and enjoyable opportunity. The kind and friendly family produces a very limited amount of olive oil but it's quite delicious and well worth a taste plus no worry about pesticides as they are fully organic!

My family and I loved this experience!!! Luka was excellent at explaining the process of making Olive Oil from tree to table. We learned about the history of the area and how to correctly taste Olive oil. He included many touches like homemade Rakia, and Olives. I highly recommend this experience!

Great tour of the olive fields, great explanation with it by Luka. Great tasting afterwards with a surprise ice cream and a twist.

Really worth-while and interesting experience for any-one with an interest in olives and specifically olive oil. Luka is a passionate and knowledgeable host which really goes to the trouble of covering all aspects of growing, harvesting and producing a world-class organic olive oil. The tasting experience is something completely new and will give you a different experience and will change you perspective of olive oil.

If you meet the Man of Olea Prima you will feel his love for very good olive oel and also learn a lot how he produced it. This olive oel ist not just bio, it`s deliciious and healthy.

Amazing experience!
We enjoyed every moment of our 2.5 hours tour. What I especially appreciated is the passion and care Luka and his family put in the olive plantation and organic olive product. The tasting experience was another great discovery. I couldn't imagine that olive oil can have so many nuances and flavours. Luca shared with us so many interesting facts about the history of the place, olive oil industry, the subtilities of organic production, the challenges they meet and the international competition for oil olive. The ending of the tour was another memorial moment: icecream seasoned with olive oil and fleur de sel !!! Unbelievable tasting experience ! And, as a "bonus" Luka recommended several restaurants, 3 of them we tried and it was a great choice !
