    Relaxed and educational tour
We did the olive grove tour on a sunny Monday afternoon. Paul was an amazing host and was able to explain everything in depth. We really enjoyed all his stories and were able to ask questions about the beautiful olive grove. Afterwards we got a brief masterclass in olive tasting by Lena, who explained to us how we could identify a good quality olive oil. The vibe was very relaxed and the time flew by! We really enjoyed this tour and would definitely return to Istria to experience this again!

    A wonderful evening
Thoroughly enjoyed our evening visiting the Brist olive grove. Paul and Lena were brilliant hosts and we learnt a lot about olive farming. After touring the groves we tasted the oils and then sampled local delicacies as it went dark. A lovely relaxing evening, top quality olive oil and a delicious meal. One of the highlights of our holiday - highly recommend.

    Excellent experience
Our group of 20 agriculture & life science students from USA took a guided tour "Evening under Olives". In every regard it was exceptional - from the chemistry you can feel between the owners (Lena and Paul) and their olive grove, to the service during the joint open-air dinner in the grove. Truly a spot to feel the story of the Istrian olive oil, and the hard work and love that stand behind it.

An evening we will remember for many years to come.
Had a wonderful 'evening under the olives' with Paul and Lena. Enjoyed walking through the groves as the sun set, learning so much about olives that we didn't know before. Followed up by some tasting and sharing of lovely local food and produce with fellow guests. Such a relaxing and memorable new experience for us and we have been coming to Istria for 20 years.

Beautiful memory , a face of Istria to get to know
Brought my partner for the first time to Croatia and as olive oil and nature lover opted to do the Bris tour, as included dinner under the sky too. The live grow is beautiful, the information given by Paul clear and very fun with his witty Irish sense of humor . The way that family takes care of the olive grow is beautiful and sustainably ethical . We passed by truly beautiful small chrurch from 1300 which is within the property and ended up meeing Paul's wife Lena who graciously thought us a bit about olive oil tasting. Table was set in minimalist yet beautiful and tasteful way. It was a very nice experience that you should do.. we will remember it, P.S. olive oil by the way is so good,. specially the Ïntenso"..all you need is a bit of that and home made bread and it is a meal

My first holiday in Istria in 2017, I went to the olive oil museum in Pula and took the class on olive oil tasting. It was an eye opener. A couple days later I visited the Brist store.

This is a professionally run, small family business and the product is not only amazing, it’s award winning. My first visit to the shop lasted 2 hours because they treated us like long lost friends.

Brist has turned into the only place we get our olive oil and every friend we bring there, whether they are from California, Ohio, Germany, or Austria, they have all ended up buying Brist Olive Oil. Those lucky enough to be in Europe have also continued to order it online after their holidays.

The farm tour is also great fun and I’ve spent 2 evenings there dining under the stars with friends and the amazingly friendly Brist team.

I just visited today to get oil for my household and for a friend in Salzburg who was here with us last year. This oil and this family will make an impression that you will cherish and it will keep you coming back year after year.

Thank you so much. Although we know you well, I won't mention names but simply to say that we feel that you are really part of our family. Great evenings on the grove and so much positivity you have brought to us over the years. Thanks for the recommendations and this one too. We do not advertise, it is your words, and those who really care about what we do that allow us to grow in the way we want to and keep the passion for our oils and the belief that anchors it. We send greetings to Austria, 'Frisco and wherever you might find yourselves when not with us. Paul, Lena and family crew.

We stopped by Brist after reading about how great Croatian olive oil is. Paul spent the morning with us, teaching us about the differences between Brist olive oil and large producers of olive oil. The difference between these olive oils and the mass produced oils are night and day. Brist oils are so clean and fresh on the palate. Paul was a thoughtful teacher, encouraging questions, and giving honest and genuine answers. It was an incredibly enlightening and educational experience. We were able to taste all of the olive oils (and received a bit of instruction on that process) and ended up purchasing quite a few bottles to bring home. Paul was happy to provide additional materials on the olive oil so we could share what we learned with our family and friends.

While you are certainly welcome to merely try and buy olive oil, I recommend engaging in a discussion about the production of olive oil. We truly learned so much and are very appreciative of the amount of time that Paul spent with us and the information he shared. We will definitely be ordering again, if not returning for more olive oil education.

We sampled their oils at the Amfiteatar hotel and were so impressed that we just had to visit the source. Brist olive oils I Vodnjan are a match for any in the world and that is some claim. go and explore, you won't be disappointed. Thanks Paul, you made our day.
If you don't have a car, the local bus is regular and takes little time.

Thanks so much for the review. It was a pleasure to have you with us and always happy to spend some extra time with guests whenever we can. Hope you enjoy the rest of your holiday and come back to Istria soon. Paul.

An excellent tour! We had a tour trough the olive garden, the owner told us everything about the garden itself, including al the historical sites near the garden. Than we sat down to have dinner in the actual olive garden. Sunset, surrunded by olive trees, candle light, good food, good wine, exquisite olive oil... Need I say more? The owner was na excellent host and made the evening special. Good place to visit with your friends and have a good time.

After reading other reviews, I and my 3 other friends booked the evening tasting. Lena, Paul and Brist offered us the most lovely experience…from the tour to the tasting, it was a perfect way to spend some of our time in Istria and we have a whole new appreciation for olive oil. We left happy.
