Vodnjan is a small historic town a few kilometers north of Pula. The church dominates the landscape with a separate bell tower (similar to some churches in northern Italy). Unfortunately, we couldn't see inside at the time we visited.

The church looks very Italian on the outside and very Austrian on the inside! Lovely pastel colours, not too overly decorated. We went to see the famous Mummies using the bus from Pula bus station which are regular. You have to pay to see them,...More

Our family of 6 enjoyed a visit to this city and Church! Beware that even though it is hot in Croatia, covering shoulders and legs are one of the requirements to "enter" the Church. We were more than happy to cover-up, because we all really...More

We queued up for a very long time just to see the mummies. It was a bit disappointing as you can only see then from behind a barrier, so you can't get close. It's also very dark where they are kept, you only get a...More

For everyone who is religion lover. they keep remains of saints, and other religious relics. The bell tower, which is located next to the church looks impressive.
