Very unprofessional. Had a 19 year old "stressed employee" (as said by the manager himself) who was the instructor of the quad tour and he was very unfriendly and aggressive towards us. The manager apologized by saying that the employee had a "stressful summer". Who cares? If you're an instructor and you have clients, you better show up excited to work! We paid for a fun event and not an unfriendly instructor who didn't even stop on the way (although he promised to stop) so we could use the restroom. One of our friends slipped during the quad tour and instead of helping him, he yelled at him saying that he did it on purpose. We have all of this on camera too. We have requested a full refund for this bad experience. If the instructor was so stressed, why was he working that day? He clearly was not supposed to be working. He should be fired for his behavior towards the group.

Whenever we go on holiday my wife and i take in a horse riding event the idea of it being a relaxing fun, event this was not. On arrival we were chastised when one of our gang of 4 could make it at the last minute due to illness. Then We were grilled on our riding ability before given a horse and "group" to ride in. This meant my wife and I were split , she was in the lead group and I was with the "plodders" at the back. Even though I can ride a little the grilling was so intimidating before we set out I decided to be in the "walking only" group. During the trip it got worse, one young girls( she was around 10yrs)in front of me started to cry due to the horse in front of her playing up she was obviously scared. It took around 5-10 minutes before we could bring it to the attention of the supervisors as they weren't checking to see if riders we ok. Then my wife who is a far better rider than me was humiliated as it was deemed she wasn't riding properly and " dragged "to the back of he group. Fun.. This was not, 2 hrs plodding in a line, feeling like a naughty children we could not wait to get back. Be aware

I was so. excited. for horseback riding with Samy's, but was somewhat disappointed with the experience. We went for the 100-minute ride, which I think is just too long for a beginner's pace of a slow walk in the Istria afternoon heat. While the trail eventually goes down to gorgeous views of the sea, you first have to endure crossing through wild, thorny shrubbery (wear long pants and shirts; my arms were quite scratched up by the end of the ride). The trail passes by a nude beach, which was no problem for us, but I could see being an issue with some families. Lastly, my boyfriend (who at 6' 2" was the tallest rider of the group) was strangely placed on the smallest horse at the ranch; this size mismatch resulted in a pretty uncomfortable ride for him and bruised sit bones. Staff was okay but wasn't that vocal or communicative, in any language.

The beach they took us was riddled with trash.
The staff was horrible: I literally made 3 meters of sitting trot and they told me I was hurting the horse's back. As results we were put in the Kids row. They don't even offer us a discount on the price. They're there just to steal your money. They won't care if you won't enjoy the trip.
Avoid this place of leeches.

We arrived about 10 mins before the start of the 3 hour ride. One beginner and one with some riding lessons. It was very rushed and we felt like we had arrived late even though we were early.
The young girl who was sitting in the office was quite rude on our arrival and then we found she was actually the guide.
Being the least experienced rider, I was surprised to find myself at the very back. The ride was pretty dull terrain until we reached the view of the sea.
My horse began to get agitated as there were people walking behind us on the same path. I asked the person in front to shout to the guide ahead who was totally oblivious to what was happening but she just shouted back that it was because someone was behind him. I was very afraid he would start to gallop and I would be thrown off and being inexperienced, i would have no idea what to do.
On our return the guide stopped along the way to chat to someone for some time whilst we all waited behind her.
No communication, not even an introduction or her name was given for us to shout her if we got into difficulty.
No opportunity to stop for a drink or even take one with us. 3 hours left us dehydrated and disorientated in such hot conditions.
I would not recommend this tour or even this company.
A lot of money for an unprofessional and uninteresting tour by uninterested guide.

We booked the swimming with horses tour and were quite disappointed. The advertisement said 'walking, trotting and galopping' for this tour. The group was split on two, but the staff hadn't made clear to us that the less experienced group would be walking only (no trotting at all). We decided to be in the same group, and as we are one experienced rider and one inexperienced rider, it was the group with walking only.
The total tour takes about 4 hours, of which 45 minutes is a break at the sea for swimming. Mind you that the actual swimming with horses is much shorter: 3 to 4 minutes if you're lucky, 1 to 2 if you're not. The 3 remaining hours were just walking, which gets quite boring after a while. Had we known this, the experienced rider would have chosen the other group, or we would not have gone at all, because 2 minutes swimming and 3 hours walking is not worth 600 kuna.
In short, I would advise everyone to check in advance if you can go with the experienced group or not. If not, I would recommend choosing a much shorter tour.

My daughter and I booked a 100 minute ride. After reading reviews we were very excited and made this a priority while on holiday. Disappointed is a understatement!! It was quite a large group and we we were separated 10 minutes in to the ride . We were informed when booking we would be going to the beach ( didn't happen). That's was the main reason for our booking it. One staff member was continually on her mobile phone ! When she did speak to us she was rude! The experience was no different to our hacks out at home except the weather ! In fact we couldn't wait for it to end. Paid ÂŁ56.00 to be hugely disappointed.

Me and my boyfriend visited the ranch we were picked up from our hotel by a member and staff and taken to the ranch. On arrival I was very pleased to see all horses looking very well with plenty of food and water. We mounted the horses and set off, the horses were impeccably behaved and very placid as I am an experienced rider I was able to gallop with staff but my boyfriend who had only ridden once stayed very steady with other staff and when he did have a gentle trot they kept an eye and kept it short.
All in all I was very pleased after riding in other countries at how well the horses were and how great the staff were!
Great riding experience for the competent rider or the complete beginner!

When I go on hols I always love to go riding but am often put off by the state of the horses. Happy to say that at Samy's ranch I felt all the horses are well kept and loved. We bkd a 2 hour trek which takes you along the coast taking in the wonderful views. All the horses were impeccably well trained and ideal for experienced and novices. We had the opportunity to trot and canter which we thoroughly enjoyed. Prices are very good value for money and for a small charge we had pick up and drop off from our hotel. Definitely recommend to all

My girlfriend and I went to Samy's ranch and had a great time and I think that it's a great value for money. We did the 1 hour journey and we really enjoyed it. The horses are well trained and it was a very enjoyable experience.
