When we came to Medulin we decided to check if there were beach options within walking distance from our accommodation, but oh boy clearly this is not one of them.
The water was shallow and murky, sand kinda dirty and we didn't feel like staying here at all. Luckily we ventured a bit further closer to the arena hotel and found some nice spots, although we mostly went to Kamenjak during our 10-day stay.
Clearly not recommended, there is way better close by.

This beach is by far too crowded. People are literally lying on each others towels. There is no space at all. Also really hard to get to the water if you have to pass by all the people.

The beach is sandy. Unlike all cliff / rocky beaches in Croatia, the water isn't blue or transparent.

The infrastructure is good. Lots of shops, bars, some showers and toilets are available.

There are much much nicer beaches, I wouldn't go there again...

300 meters of sandy beach within campsite. Half of Europe sitting here next to each other. Water therefore is dirty and shallow . You walk like half a kilometer to get to swimming depth. Do not without neopren shows though (easy to get at the beach shops...60 HRK)

This part of the beach has sand but it then turns into pebbles as you move along.
The water is quite shallow and ideal for kids to paddle, we walked out to a pebble bank about 50 yards out and the water only got about 2 feet deep in the middle.
There is an inflatable fun centre in the water for the kids to climb / play on as well as peddle boats for hire.
There are a few beach bars on this beach but not many as it is quite small really.
A tip is to buy a pair of swimming shoes as the sea has loads of pebbles and they hurt your feet when entering exiting the water.

Lovely to walk along but very busy with market stalls during the daytime and cyclists in the evening. Looks pretty but very rocky and small sitting areas. Reminiscent of lakeside type beach rather than sea shore.

Bijeca beach is very beautiful but only a few hundred meters away from the croud, we found a very nice baldachin beds in which we enjoyed the whole day. The sea is deeper here, and is suitable for swimming. Definitely recommendet it.

I have seen a lot of places around Pula and I just can't recommend you that beach. Yes, it is sandy and suitable for kids but the beach itself is without a charm. The sea around it is very shallow and calm so it is almost impossible to swim there. The only good thing are the pine trees behind the beach so the air is good and fresh. If you search and beautiful and quite place with nice sea, I can't recommend you that place.

Overall...it is clear that Croatia is not exactly a place for families with small children. Our son didn't like the stones in Pula so we have decided to take a cab and came to Medulin.
The beach is... as somebody said earlier, without any charm. Disappointing is a small word.

Yes, there us sand... but it is quite dirty and prices are quite high.

Renting an umbrella and two side beach beds costed us 120 KN. That means nearly 17 euro.
Yes, for what is offered is clearly a lot.

My recommendation: don't go there.

This is the only sandy beach in the Pula area but I'd rather walk on a few pebbles than use this beach. We arrived around 11 o clock and there wasn't a bit of spare sans to put your towel down, the amount of people on that beach was just immense. We decided against staying here, even if you came early enough and managed to find a nice spot, you probably would have some stranger lying right next to you in no time. I also wouldn't feel to comfortable leaving my stuff whilst I'm having a swim in the sea, you'd struggle to relocate it! Overall I'd suggest a less busy beach and investing a few Kuna in some seashoes so you can enjoy a quieter pebbled beach
