We visited while staying in Palm Springs. We did several short hikes including Hidden Valley. We also drove to Keys View which was spectacular. The highlight was the Keys ranch tour for 90 minutes. You have to sign up that morning between 9 and 12...More

Joshua Tree National Park is one of the best venues in the national park system. The trees and plants are so wonderful and weird. It is worth a visit if you are in the Palm Springs area. There is a lot to do outside of...More

We were looking for an interesting day drive. The trees and rocks of that location are interesting and we had a nice walk and scenic drive. Itvwas interesting but I wouldn't go out of my way again. The gate fee isn't worth it. It may...More

Very nice NP, with stunning Cacti and views. Also a very quick NP - 1 to 4 hours is plenty of time to do the loop and some walking.

Nice place for rock climbing and hiking. The kids had fun climbing the smaller rocks and looking for animals. This park doesn't have a lot of scenic views or things to check out but still a beautiful desert natl. park to check out.

We took advantage of the free entrance to the park. What a glorious day. Lots of others in the park too. The rock formations were so beautiful. Watched some climbers scaling rock faces. What a great place to hike and camp.

The rock formations and the vegetation are spectacular. They reminded us of the landscape in North West Argentina, around Salta.

Unlike Yosemite and other major parks where prime attractions are connected by paved road - and therefore, 99% of visitors never explore the rest of the park, Joshua Tree is meant for hiking away from the main road. If you have limited amount of time,...More

Not all the camping areas have bathrooms and showers - Black Rock does. You'll need tent and sleeping bags. It gets cold overnight and this IS the rainy season. That doesn't mean rain every day but it does mean when it... More

Honestly that would be a very long day because you have to account for LA traffic even though it's only 140 miles to the Park from LA . I guess it's doable if you leave early. We used all 3 entrances I preferred the... More
