Nice Town

A nice to stop before or after visiting the Joshua Tree National Park. Lots of places to eat and fuel up. The town has lots of great wall murals to check out as well

In addition to abundant information about local businesses and places of interest, The Visitor Center Art Gallery displays works by local artists. These pieces offer unique interpretations of the desert experience in a variety of styles and mediums. This is an opportunity to take home original art at surprisingly affordable prices.

An interesting but sad place. The story of the Natives being driven off the & the sacred palms being cut down by ranchers, along with draining the water table to the point they now have to pump water in to sustain the plants. Nice place for a morning walk, saw lots of wild life, roadrunners, rabbits & quail.

We had a few hours in Twentynine Palms and did not want to spend a lot of money for a 3 hour visit to the Park. So we went here got info about Joshua Tree and took the 1/2 mile walking loop around "Oasis of Mars". It took an hour and one half with half of that just looking at... More

Do not be put off by exterior, there are great folks and wealth of information inside--also good toilets. The staff is very knowledgeable and will take the time to make sure your questions are answered, even the ones that you did not ask. Very fun group.

We were pleasantly surprised to get information about things to do in the area. It was too bad that we didn't have more time to explore the local attractions since most of our day was planned ahead of time. Helpful and friendly place
