Nice Town

A nice to stop before or after visiting the Joshua Tree National Park. Lots of places to eat and fuel up. The town has lots of great wall murals to check out as well

As with all the visitors centres. The welcome is really friendly and the advice and help given by the rangers is very helpful.

somewhat interesting displays... I would have liked to see more education about the area...really quite unimpressive for a national park

In addition to abundant information about local businesses and places of interest, The Visitor Center Art Gallery displays works by local artists. These pieces offer unique interpretations of the desert experience in a variety of styles and mediums. This is an opportunity to take home original art at surprisingly affordable prices.

An interesting but sad place. The story of the Natives being driven off the & the sacred palms being cut down by ranchers, along with draining the water table to the point they now have to pump water in to sustain the plants. Nice place for a morning walk, saw lots of wild life, roadrunners, rabbits & quail.
