First the good news. This house-museum costs only $3 US. But I spent about 12 minutes total to see all 3 floors. Read every word. Some info is in both Bulgarian and English (30%). But the translator was not an English speaker. And most of what is written will be of interest to a VERY limited group. The old house was totally gutted. Nothing remains but 5-6 modern white exhibit rooms which display an old gun, a chair, a portrait, a mirror. Original artifacts? Who knows, but you wont look at them twice. If you read Bulgarian AND have a burning interest in the 1877 liberty uprising, maybe this would be for you. If not, skip.

This Museum shows to the visitors the bulgarian resistance and defense to tyranny and slavery - prominent activists for freedom, their belongings and guns.

This is getting embarrassing! Two days ago I praised a rare example of a goood quality museum in Bulgaria, and now we have another that is equal to the accol;ade of best in Bulgaria: well done ruse in investing in these places. This museum is named after a former resident of the town, but it focusses on the 1877/78 liberation, and her descendents part in that momentous event. I have often been frustrated at not being able to find quality and etailed information of thios era in bulgarian history despite it being so pivotal. Here we have all the information you could want in user-friendly but non-patronising simplicity.
