If you are visiting Medjugorje as a tourist rather than as a pilgrim, I think you will be disappointed, as it is not a tourist resort but more a resort for prayer and reflection with a good social mix thrown in. You can do as...More

We visited during our day trip to Mostar but found the church complex a little average. It was neither a stunning cathedral or stunning surrounding area. We later read it was not worth visiting without being a devout Catholic to appreciate the religious significance and...More

Medjugorje is a spiritual oasis of peace and pilgrimage. Though most people that come are Catholic, all people are welcomed to Medjugorje and the spiritual phenomenon that takes place there. I have been to Lourdes, Fatima and Guadalupe, but there is no place like Medjugorje.

If you have never been to Medjugorje, now is the time to go. It is without a doubt the closest place to heaven here on earth. Highly recommended and I will continue to come back time and time again

A fascinating place. I visited as part of a group tour. I am not a Catholic myself and therefore was not there for religious reasons. It was very interesting though to visit a major pilgrimage site. I found it moving and inspiring to see the...More

Just returned from my 6th trip to Medjugorje. If you are religious ( especially Catholic ) then this place is for you. I can`t put into words what a wonderful place this is. I would recommend booking a Pilgrimage with a group. I have stayed...More

If you come here for the religious aspect it might be rewarding. Just for the touristic value I would say no! Lots of shops selling religious souvernirs - ugly, crappy and not very appealing!

I'm not sure if there is (if any) regular connection between Dubrovnik airport - Medjugore. You might want to search for a quotation for a private transfer or just rent a car. You'll have more flexibility with a car to visit... More
