This isn't the biggest ski area in Austria but it is a very nice one. There is plenty of variety for beginner and intermediate skiers. Experts may be a little disappointed but there are off-piste options. The gondolas from the base to the mid-mountain are OK. Once on the hill the remaining lifts are mostly older fixed grip chairs and there are a few t-bars and the like. It's a little bit slower and more laid back. The runs have a nice variety in width and grade (steepness) although some of the "blue" runs are quite narrow and might be a little intimidating for beginner skiers when trying to navigate between a snow bank on one side, a drop off on the other and other skiers. The food in the lodge was affordable and good. If you aren't a good skier I would suggest that you take the gondola down the mountain. The runs are narrow and crowded and you can expect to encounter everything on the way down. If you are tired it may not be a fun end to an otherwise enjoyable day.…

Spent a few days in Oetz and up the slopes. The range of facilities was top draw from ski hire to a buffet restaurant right by the Gondola station. The area was clean and well signposted and well-maintained. All the staff encountered were friendly and helpful. The range of slopes and accompanying ski lifts make it perfect for all abilities. It wasn't too busy in Jan on a Friday or Saturday. A few kindergarten groups slowed the button lifts but staff were good at keeping things flowing. During both Summer and Winter, it was clear there is a lot for kids to do with a large kids area open up the mountain and during summer there is a big kids park at the bottom.…

What a beautiful place to visit. We enjoyed a walk in the mountains, a great cablecar ride and a marvelous lunch at Kuhtaile Alm. Glorious views.

I skied Solden, Kuhtai and here, and the best skiing was here. It was so quiet which meant no queues, empty slopes which stayed in good condition and there are trees. It was a really pleasant surprise. It's not a huge area, but the runs are varied and well linked.

The slopes are professionally prepared and if you go within off season not crowded. Sufficient number and variety even in spring or autumn accompanied by fantastic views. Worth recommending!
