Walked from Scheffau but there is a bus available there and back. It took over an hour but it was a beautiful walk. It takes a further hour to walk round the lake but there are a couple of lovely refreshment options along the way. Great scenery and good path. You can sunbathe at a section near the car park but it costs 4.50 euros each for the pleasure. We didn't bother but it did look lovely. Good signed paths from here back to Scheffau and Soll. Highly recommended.

We were in the area on a business trip and it happened to be a heat wave. Lucky for us one of the locals knew of the beautiful little spot.

Walked around the lake after hiking to Walleralm. The north side is on a flat paved trail, while the south side is a much more hilly gravel trail. Degree of difficulty is related to your degree of physical fitness. There were beautiful views of the mountains from both sides. There are places to eat at both ends of the lake.

Stunning views as we walked uphill through the forest around the lake and back to the car park by the lower flatter pathway. Although it is possible to make the walk by the pathway in both directions. Had a break and lunch in a bar at the midway point. A great way to spend a few hours.

The lake is amazing with his green colour and cristal water. You can see fish living in the lake. It takes about 5,8 km to go arround. On this way you have some restaurant for drinking or eating . One part is hard because it is a main road. On the other side thete is a forrest walk. Better if you have a good shoes because it is a time for going up and down.
