Hi, hi! I want to share a nice experience and give a positive review to the Arlberg Ski School and in particular to the instructor Tijl Hendriks. Good thing you're in St. Anton)
Between 29.12.24 and 3.01.25 I individually studied Tijl Hendriks. It was my first ever experience when I started skiing and started learning to go down the mountain. Unforgettable experience! I'm glad Tijl was around all these days! I learned a lot from him and I'm not scared to ski anymore. I overcame my fear thanks to Tijl. Now I can descend in parallel, make long turns, stop with pizza, feel skis, drive them and enjoy the mountains. Thank you for your support, patience, motivation and guidance! I'm glad I've had such a great teacher, a master of my trade, for these six days!

I had a really great experience at Skischule Arlberg with my instructor, Ben. He was able to manage our adult group extremely well and give each person in the group time and attention. I learned a lot in the 3 days and had a lot of fun. Look forward to coming back and also applying all I have learned from Ben next year!

I travelled alone so booked into the ski school for four days, in a group that did a bit of on piste and off piste too, so I was able to experience off piste when I would never have done it alone. My instructor Ben C was incredible- he showed us plenty of beautiful routes and was super fun and patient the whole time. He also gave me specific tips for how to improve my technique. Thank you Ben!

Awful nasty instructor Fleur with no care and gross negligence when it comes to basic heath & safety. My 8yr old son nearly died in his words was let go on a ski lift without an adult and unable to reach to bar to close the chair on a steep rocky chair was told just to hold. Next day lost on the black run, picked up by another instructor who thankfully asked him if he was left behind. Third day was cut by 2 French older kids on both of his sides - he could escape the squeeze lost control and hit a tree with his head. When raised the issues got extremely cold bad attitude back with no apology and no warm feeling. Supervisor instead told us a story of her own daughter falling from 4m open chair as if thats the kind of if thing thats going to make me feel better. Final nail in the coffin was after raising the issues Fleur without our knowledge without asking my son downgraded him to begginners group upsetting my child so much he hated. All whilst for 4 days Fleur kept saying ger team was the right level for him. She was just nasty by penalising him because parents raised vary pertinent heath safety issues. Terrible, shocking, oversubscribed, had no choice but to ask for a refund for the remaining days. Avoid Fleur avoid supervisor. Ps: no maximum on kids numbers in the groups neither, no vests for school identification, just awful from start to shocking end.

Good facilities at the base of the hill, with an area for kids meeting and playing between main lift and a smaller pommel lift.

For the first couple days of lessons the kids group was over subscribed with kids of different levels, the instructor was much more of a guide than an instructor. After the group thinned out for the last few days of lessons (to 4-5 students) the instruction improved, but was still “follow-me” style. My daughter struggled a little but wasn’t given much instruction of encouragement. My son benefited more from the lessons.

School organization could be better for sorting students. Waited in line uphill for an hour with the kids to see the sorting manager who didn’t even look at my kids before placing them with an instructor. Why did I spend all the time before arriving in Austria filling out details in their system of their age, size, experience, etc if it wasn’t considered? Not as expected. When I questioned they replied that is how it is… well not at other schools my kids have attended when they reviewed your reservation details and skills, assigning your group before the lesson so you aren’t paying to wait in a massive queue!

Simon, the instructor for the beginner group (adults), did an amazing job. Very gentle and warm, but also firm when it came to safety. There was a very high level of trust in the group even with the stormy weather. He somehow managed to attend every persons needs and gave us the confidence to believe we can actually do this:) From what I heard it was his first season, so well done ski school for this pick, he seemed like an absolut pro!

School is helpful, but I wouldn’t recommend Roger at all as instructor - try to ask for another instructor! I booked 3 days of private lessons and Roger was allocated to me and I think it wasn’t worth it.
1) he took me to the hardest part of the piste basically to scare me so I book more lessons with him
2) he was telling me the stories of how he has broken the bones etc in the skies (I’m a beginner and already scared, so the last thing I want to hear is injury related stories)
3) he asked me to pay for all the lunches, coffee breaks and Apre ski and never even said thank you, which is ridiculous. He literally told me to get him a drink!
4) he never took me to a proper full blue even when I asked - he was saying that I cannot go a bit faster (which makes no sense given you are on the slopes!)

I booked a four days course (adult - beginner) in the schools. I got very bad feelings at the third day of the course but I ended up with great satisfaction due to Simon, a very young instructor. He is the most patient instructor I met and explained every technical points very clearly. He also recorded the videos for us to watch back and found out what problems we had when we ski. He is so nice and so helpful to help us ski safer and better with right positions and techinques. This is his first season and this ski school is lucky to have him. I would definitely recommend my friends to book Simon's course when they may come to St Anton next year.
By the way, the customer service is good too. After I complained to the supervisor what happened to me on the third day, the supervisor assigned Simon as my last days' instructor and I really appreciated that he assigned the nicest and passionate instructor to teach me.

Fantastic ski school for my 7 year old, who was trying skiing for the first time. Alberta, his instructor, was incredibly patient and went the extra mile to ensure that my son and I had the best possible holiday. My son's progress was extremely pleasing to see, going from an absolute beginner to a confident junior skier. Whilst sometimes he was a little tired in the mornings, everyday he was excited and happy by the end of the lesson. Alberta managed to blend learning with play to make the experience fun.
Also a special mention for Peter the supervisor, who was also critical in making our holiday great.
Thank you!

Highly recommend Skischule Arlberg St Anton. I am a middle aged man taking up snoboarding and booked a lesson, in partcular with Gregor. Easily the best intrsuctor I have ever had, really great personality, extremely positive and motivating. I'd go back to St Anton just for this ski school and Gregor. I had a great day, was all over the mountain and progressed immensly!
