I was in Saalbach and missed doing something else than skiing. I'm quite astonished that this is not widely advertized e.g. among the tour guides since this is a pearl! You can have a horse sleigh ride back and forth to the place too. The tree top route and especially the bridge are thrilling if afraid of heights but I managed to walk thru'.

This gem is located at the end of the valley as you depart Hinterglemm. It is at the end of the Nordic skiing tracks. The cafe is a welcome sight after a long ski up the valley. The staff are warm and welcoming. The nordic skiing tracks are well prepared and offer a mixture of challenges.

Cant recommend highly enough.

Visited here on a pretty wet morning before heading into the hills. The bridge is exciting to walk over. What you see when you reach the other side of the valley is a pleasant surprise. A series of wooden steps and walkways take you right into the forest. We thought it was great fun.

Visited here on three occasions during a recent holiday in Hinterglemm, the area is served by an amazing mountain hut, great coffee and very friendly staff. It is at the very end of the cross country ski tracks, well worth the effort to get there.

My kids have been doing tree parks every year for over 12 years so they love these things. Here are our pros and cons.

PRO
-It is the best tree park they have experienced. They loved how far out into the forest they got and the long zip lines. Plus the creativity with the bike on the wire was great.
-My niece (12 years) also loved it.

CONS
-We arrived early (10:20 am) but because one person in our group didn't speak German we had to wait for an English explanation of the system. After 45 minutes (I kid you not) the teenagers discretely joined the German group so they could start the ropes course. Never have we seen such a poorly organized start to a ropes course.
-Usually there are rules about no more than three people at each tree stop. We got behind a group of 5 people that kept waiting for the last person before the first person would start. This took FOREVER.
-My nephew (1 meter 38) could only do one rope course and even that was very difficult for him despite the minimum height requirement of 1 meter.
-The pass is very expensive compared to other courses we have been to. In Switzerland I expect EUR 30 but not in Austria.
-You need to know that the walk up to the park is 20 minutes (at teenager pace) or EUR 4 per adult for the tractor train.
-We walked and at one point had to scramble out of the way of twice from speeding cars (I assume employees late to work) and our dog was nearly hit since one driver didn't slow down nor move over.
-The other trail up to the ropes course wasn't much better with mountain bikes racing down at the end of the day.

I hate being so negative but the cons, for me, outweighed the pro. HOWEVER, maybe these things won't matter to you:)

we were staying in Saalbach the 1st week of July with temperatures nearing 30°C, took a walk to Hinterglenn alongside the river 3.5 km and found out it was another 6 km from there to BAUMZIPFELWEG so we returned to Saalbach and took the car for a drive to Baumzipfelweg in TALSCHLUSS (means end of the valley). from saalbach it is around 10 km one way. with the joker card we got a nice discount for the walk over the bridge at top trees' height, also got a green goblin's head. it was funny seeing all these adults walking over the bridge with the green head on ...the bridge is around 200 m long, from there you climb via steps even higher so you really walk between the tree tops. there are also some adventure event possibilities for which you have to pay extra. PS there is a shop close to the bridge, Tshirts are there almost 1/2 price of what you pay in the villages in the neighbourhood.

At €22 for a couple we found this overpriced.
I understand they are trying to recoup the building costs and it is nicely done, but quite short.
There are lots of fun activities along the treetop route for kids, but we expected a much longer and more peaceful walk.

If you like walking and views, my recommendation is save your money and walk to the back of the valley and stop off at the 2 Alms - a beautiful 1-1.5 hour round trip.

It's a part of the crawdy park forthe kids.Nothing speacial. The entrance to the bridge costs 9 eur per adult. All included ticket for the park itself - 90 eur. Train to the park costs 6 eur. Don't waste your time if you are travelling without kids.

We took a bus ride out to this brilliant area which I am sure is even better in the summer. When you arrive there is a 2.5km walk to the bridge but there is a beautiful lodge selling food and lovely hot chocolate.O other side of the bridge is a tree top walk with lots of activities for adults and children to do.

We walked from Lengau where the free ski bus stops. Its about 2.5 KM on snowy paths. Once we arrived at the Lindling Alm we had a coffee then paid 9 euros each to walk the bridge across the valley. Its called the Golden Gate bridge of the Alps. About 40 meters high and gives you view of spectacular secenary. Once on the other side follow the raised walk ways up through to the tops of the forest. Tree tops are now below you. Excellent.
