Probably the best €7,50 I have spent while in Austria. So much fun.. Probably a bit dangerous, but widely entertaining.

The Joker card, included in our hotel rate, enabled into ride this for free. About 10 mins to the top station at 1,480m from where there are spectacular views, and a plethora of walks over the hills are available. It's a nice easy downhill walk back to Saalbach, about 90 minutes non stop, or longer if you stop, as we did, for a leisurely lunch at one of several establishments you pass on the way down. A great day's activity.

Great experience to go up for the TOBOGGAN RUN REITERKOGEL. But be very carefull when renting a sled! BE CAREFULL They ask for 40 euro per sled deposit and if you loose your ticket (even if they remembered your face) but give your sled back, they don’t want to give the deposit back! Very stubborn and very rude and uncivillised staff, no empathy or forgiveness. So 10 stars for the experience, 0 stars for the customer service.

The gondola opens at 9am and displays when the last visit is(weather dependant). The gondolas are constantly moving so you have to be aware to get on quick unless you have a leg injury (or similar) like I did. The staff will stop the gondola to give you extra time to get on, some staff put a wooden stick near the door on the outside so that the staff at the top know to stop it for you to alight. There are signs at the top with the walking directions and a cafe nearby (called an Alm). There are also toilets which are very clean.

Located in Hinterglemm, this lift will take you to slopes of different difficulty. Taking the egg lift to the middle of the mountain you will arrive at a stübe, and you will find a blue slope I can definitely reccomand tp beginners. It has a j-bar. If you take the bahn further up the mountain you will find red and black slopes.

feeling homesick ? you want to hear music in a different way ? when it is hot in the valley, just take a table ride with Reitherkogelbahn (Hinterglemm city) up in the mountains. over there you either go for other walks like the flower walk, or drive down with your mountainbike or just take a little rest in the Sportalm café with nice view on the valley from the terrace. the owner will for sure sing some songs/play some instruments an even will jodel now and then ....

Starting off in Hinterglem the Reiterkogelbahn brings you to a walking paradise in the Alps.
You can walk along the edges of the Alps all the way to Saalbach. Beatifull views, different Alms you can take a rest or grab a snack. Learn about the mountain vegetation and cristals along well marked and documented trails. If your overall condition is top then you can hike up to the Reiterkogel Gipfel. If you want to take it easy then you stroll up to the panorama Alm and walk back to the Reiterkogelbahn; you can take your mountainbike up (and rent one on the spot as well) and bike the Alps or race downhill to Hinterglem. Something to do for evrybody, that's what the Reiterkogelbahn has to offer!

We used our Joker cards to take this up the mountain. Very easy to use and some of the gondolas are for bikes others exclusively for people.
