I cannot recommend Hartwegers enough – Fantastic energetic friendly teachers that take the time to talk to parents and meet all the children’s emotional and physical needs. I relaxed and enjoyed my holiday as I knew my children were happy and safe. We had 7 children in our party ranging from 4 to 8yrs old and they all loved it. My 8 year old Daughter said it was better than Disney land! Lessons are from 9.30 to 3pm with supervised lunch in a local restaurant for an extra 8.50 euros. A special thank you to Bart who was worn out by my Autistic son but never stopped smiling. Bart adapted his teaching methods to ensure my son understood and learnt new skills. The race and medal ceremony was a lovely finish to the week.

We have just returned from a weeks sking. We needed a ski school for are children as they had never skied before. After looking on the internet and researching I came across Hartwegers, and what a find.
I called direct to speak to them first and spoke with Eva lotta who was great and answered all our questions. She didn't big up the school just answered the questions I asked. I got a great feel from the phone call and booked online. I got a feeling it was a smaller ski school and had more to offer than the bigger ones. We booked ski rental and ski school it couldn't have been easier the ski school meeting point and hire school are next to one another.
We had four children ages from 5-11 . We were welcomed by all the very friendly instructors on the first morning. The children were given a little pack they wore around their neck with their name and adult contact number.
We had Luca who was the kids instructor WOW he was excellent. Treated the kids excellent. Very calm and excellent teaching skills. He is an asset to Hartwegers. Nothing was to much. As it was a smallest ski area we saw him with the children on the slopes and always the children were having fun and learning. He looked after them at lunch as well.
We also was lucky to have meet a new instructor Seff from the uk who also was excellent she was with the group for one day and the kids loved her too.
Can't speak more highly of Hartwegers and Luca EXCELLENT.

Can't wait to return.

My 10y/o son really improved his boarding. He links his turns down steep pistes. His teacher Philip was brilliant and very enthusiastic. Petra taught my 13y/o daughter who can now carve and move quickly down the mountain. And I went back to school for the first time for a long time with Norbert for 3 days of technical clinic. It was superb.
We will be back with the rest of my family. Thank you very much.

Expert, considerate and entertaining 2 hour lesson with Peter, a Kaprun native with perfect idiomatic English and a reassuring manner. Ideal for this elderly, nervous skier.

Had the pleasure of Micky for a day and Max the following day. Couldn't praise them enough, good teaching and good company. Mixed family group, very encouraging, made sure everyone was pushed and happy, and that we didn't just go as fast as the slowest skier. Good fun, learned a lot, thanks guys.

Second time of using this ski school with two different families. Great Instructors - Petra and Steph. Noticed particularly that both instructors happy to help other people on the slopes and lifts when required which we thought was really kind. Lost kids and falls from button lifts etc. Didn't impact on our lessons but just showed a personal touch to the school.

Hardest part I have to say is probably just making the booking. Tend to go backwards and forwards a little in trying to convey number of lessons and so forth but have always got there in the end. Simply a language barrier issue perhaps.

All in all a great ski school and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them to anyone looking for instruction in Kaprun.

Great. Taught my children aged 5 and 9 to ski. Good value and convenient as right next to the lift. The whole process of booking was very easy and the staff were prompt at replying via email. I would recommend.

Before 8am we were waiting patiently at the bottom lift for it to open. There was an orderly queue between barrier fencing of about 70 people and some people had been waiting for over 20 minutes.

When the main doors were opened a snowboard instructor wearing a Hartwegers ski school uniform went outside the barriers and straight to the front of the queue. We checked later and were told that ski instructors do not get priority at this lift.

We don't know the name of this instructor but we saw him later with snowboard boots. We recognised him due to his uniform, stature and age (about 35) but also because he had yellow teeth!

He represents Hartwegers ski school and therefore we can deduce that their instructors disrespect others and we certainly would not use them as a ski school.

Disappointing ski lesson, (did one of 3 planned mornings), refresher needed to get back parallel skiing on blues and easy reds. Small group of 4 but frustratingly lesson of 2 + hours on nursery slope using button lift. Instructor oblivious that it was freezing stood in the path of snow cannon during instruction and pole exercises repeatedly used to occupy the time. Not the usual ski school fun challenge. I wouldn't recommend based on my previous experience of ski schools in other resorts in France and Italy.
