It was my first time in a helicopter and Nathan, our pilot, was amazing. Definitely plan to do, again.

Well i crossedoff one more thing on my bucket list: My first ride in a helicopter and I absolutely loved it! Staff were exceptionally nice and friendly. My pilot was so good I never even had a flutter of fear. Their prices were very reasonable also with several options to choose, and I was so m pleases that I got to ride in the smaller copter ( looks like a fly) the view all around was incredible. Cannit wait to do it again, a definite plus on our trip to South Dakota and a wonderful way to see the Black Hills.

REALLY pricey for what it is and how short it is. They are SUPER strict on the weight limit, so if you have someone in your group that is anywhere close to 250+ pounds (even though they say 300 which is not true), make sure you make the correct reservation at the correct helipad. Most of our group had never been on a helicopter before and so we thought this would be the perfect opportunity. It was fun, but SO short for the price (I get it, the helicopters and fuel are expensive, but still). You could tell that the pilots are bored of doing the same thing over and over and over again day in and day out. But the view of Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse were definitely amazing!

Rushmore
First time in a helicopter, I was a bit nervous, and now that I've done it I have to laugh at myself for even being nervous because it was such a relaxing flight! This company definitely knows how to take care of their customers, all staff members working are pilots and have fantastic communication and people skills. Our pilot was super kind and extremely knowledgeable. We have been to South Dakota multiple times and we learned so many new things that we hadn't heard before. They will take your picture after getting on the plane and will ask you after how the flight was. Amazing service and we loved it so much we went to the badlands location the next day! You will be missing out if you don't give it a try.
Badlands
Absolutely stunning and well worth the price. The day before we went I flew with Rushmore tours with the same company and it was my first time in a helicopter. That experience was so pleasant and fun we knew we had to go again the next day at the badlands location. The badlands view by helicopter is an absolute must see. It is a completely different view of the badlands than what you see driving through or walking trails. Even if you have a fear of flying, the pilots are wonderful and kind to work with. Shout out to our pilot Nate, who had terrific communication and was super friendly. Also shout out to Taylor for being awesome and having a cool name. We will definitely be coming back again and again and telling all of our friends and family to give this great company more business.

Booked an Adventure Tour of the Badlands for my wife’s birthday present. Excellent choice. Low and slow with a much better view than you get through the tiny window of a plane. Pilots/staff were helpful and informative.

Was driving through the Black Hills area when I saw this heliport alongside the highway.
Being a pilot myself, I had to go check it out. Did the Mt Rushmore with Crazy Horse tour solo in a piston powered Lycoming gear driven engined flat 6. Probably 410 to 44 cubic inches.
Process was simple as a walk in. Pay for service, get weighed ( for CG and weights and balances in any aircraft) and within minutes it was a one on one pilot and myself taking a 20 minute ride.
Pilot was extremely knowledgable and very courteous. I'm a frugal guy, but the $220 fee, to me, was an absolute bargain. I highly suggest you try to do this as early in the morning as possible, the air is smoother, and the lighting more dramatic if you're going to take videos or pictures.
This is a must do if it's a once in a lifetime trip to the area, the aerial perspective is simply fantastic.
Great oufit, would highly recommend them.

Is end of March 29th thought 31st a good time to visit Black Hills and Mt Rushmore and do the helicopter tour? Also how much is the helicopter tour?

those dates would be a bit early as there will probably still be snow and cold there at that time--the pilots usually report in mid to late april to get ready for the season so I would say that late may or early june would be a better plan for that area of the country and the copter tours--not sure what the pricing will be this year but it is worth it to go on the best tour you can afford(there are several to choose from--crazy horse, mt rushmore, sylvan lake and more) hope this will help with your decision--I am a bit prejudiced because my son has been a pilot/tour guide there the last two seasons--you will enjoy!!!

We did the $99 tour of Crazy Horse and surrounding area. The perspective was fantastic. The pilot was very knowledgeable. I think we were up for close to 20 minutes.

My first time in a helicopter but my husband has once. Trying to decide which will be the best deal for us. We will be there May 12 - 14 and the Badlands May 11. I have no idea how long a trip it is based on air miles. I would appreciate any suggestions. We will be staying in Keystone near Mt. Rushmore and will have a car.

We took the tour of Mr. Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Memorial. It was the first time on a helicopter for both of us. We consider it one of the highlights of our 10 state 4077 mile Corvette trip. Highly recommend!!!

If you can afford the longer trips they are probably what you should do. They are the two most expensive but they are 1/2 hour and 1 hour respectively. All other trips are from 6-20 minutes (at least that's what we were told as an estimate). That said, we did the $99 crazy horse flight and it was great! It was about 12 minutes and a thrill for our first helicopter ride.
