Be sure to go around the back of the lake near the dam. Really great scenery. Fishing is good for bass. For trout Legion Lake nearby is better,

Visited on a hot day. Grandkids enjoyed themselves in the water and on the playground area. Nice beach area; beautiful scenery. If you kayak, great place to go. Other kids were catching lots of fish.

This is one of the larger lakes in the hills. There is lots of room here to hike and explore and lots of shoreline to fish.

There are NO lake front campsites at Stockade Lake North campground. In fact, you can't see any of the lake from the campground. If you still want to know which campsites would be closest to lake, I'd say campsites 20E... More
