We were late for our reservation because to get into pack and drive took 3 times longer than expected. However they were patient and accommodating. My 10 year old was delighted!- riding through streams, up and down hills and trotting a little. This will be one of her lifetime memories.

Thumbs up to Kelsie, our wrangler and trail guide, for a great time last week. Thanks also to Makalya and head wrangler Reuben. Our 2 daughters, ages 5 and 7, were given clear instructions and felt comfortable on the horses. Would certainly recommend!

My family of 5 took the one hour trail ride. We try to do this on each summer vacation. Beautiful horses. Wonderful trail on French Creek that crossed two streams and several steep rocky climbs. It was very enjoyable. Good staff and guides.

I have owned and shown horses myself and have been to several stables over the years. Blue Bell Stables is the best operation I have ever visited. The horses are well fed, clean and their hooves were shod. The horses have cover from the weather and sun and the place was clean. Safety was clearly important to them and they... More

We had a great time on the two hour ride through Custer State Park. Our wrangler was Angel, and he was personable and friendly and fun to be around. He was also our hero. There was a buffalo on our trail about a quarter mile ahead. He and the other wrangler told us to stay put and stay quiet. Angel... More

We did a half day ride with the sweetest wrangler, Addy. The horses are healthy and well cared for. The trails are all on state property. The wildlife and unspoiled nature are remarkable. They cater to families with young kids and serve people of all abilities. They do 1 hr, 2 hr, 1/2 day and full day rides. A fantastic... More

This is worth your dollars!! Efficiently run. Guides know what they are doing. Beautiful scenery. You are fitted with your horse and wranglers assist you while getting on and off. Bring your own rain slickers on rainy days. Our teens and 10 year old really enjoyed the experience.

Our family of first time riders really enjoyed our experience at Blue Bell Stables. The side guide named Arielle (I hope I got that correct) was fantastic. So personable, pleasant, and reassuring to our kids. The trail was filled with beautiful scenery, a gentle creek crossing, and more. Perfect for beginner riders and children.

The ride was wonderful, staff was great but we came home with two of my kids having lice from the helmets. We have never ever in our life dealt with this and we find it super appalling the helmets are not cleaned better and now we are dealing with this. There is absolutely no other way they could have gotten... More

We visited Blue Bell stables and enjoyed a scenic horse ride with great horses with our wonderful wrangler Gracie. She was professional and very informative. Great staff, especially Lynn at the front desk. The trail was very scenic. One of the best experiences of our trip to South Dakota.

Thank Lucia C
