Nice view and lake. Their was also a small beach area. Water was cold but was still quite a few people swimming. Cool area for sure seemed to be a lot of people having fun.

Suggest another area if you are looking for solitude and a walk that is more secluded. Trail is marked Easy, however, there is a section that is Moderate or above depending on age and ability.

The like is right next to the Needles Highway and has a store with souveniers and snacks. There is parking and trails around the lake. The rock features are very interesting. A nice place to get out of the car and get a little exercise.

Wow, what beautiful scenery. We're definitely going to return to this area. There's much more exploring to be done.

There are better high altitude lakes, but you do pass by after doing the Needles Highway, so stop in and check it out. The water was muddy during our visit and not too attractive. There is a trail around the lake - we went about...More

Nice rock formations, lake is very calm, swimmable. Beach very small. We had to walk quite a ways to get there, There seem to be no great lakes in the area. I would say its just ok. More like a swimming hole.

We stopped during a tour of the black hills and weren’t disappointed. We had a nice hike and enjoyed the scenery around this beautiful little lake. I wish we would have had more time here.
