We visited this theatre for an evening reception sponsored by a company from our professional conference. The theatre has been beautifully restored, and has a grand appearance and atmosphere. A live band offered music, and the acoustics seemed good. I would love to see a...More

I came here for their summer film series. Couldn't pass up the chance to see a movie in an old school theater like this. Unfortunately the balconies were closed but it was still a pretty awesome experience. I guess this is part of a big...More

This theater is a gem. The intricate moldings and carvings are beautiful and there is not a bad seat in the house. The only drawback was as a tall person the seats were much too close together making it a long evening.

I love the Orpheum. It is so beautifully restored inside. It seems to be the perfect size. You're never too far from the stage. The sound is great. The staff is nice and hospitable.

My husband and I saw The Revivalists last night at the Orpheum. They were awesome of course!! The Theatre was nice, too. If I’m not mistaken, it was renovated in 2015. The balconies on the left and right, the side column beams, and the ceiling...More

Do not miss this venue! We took in a performance of the Nutcracker but check out the interior for any reason. It is absolutely dazzling.

The Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra was amazing as they performed the Best of Broadway. They performed not just the often heard standards, but also a selection of songs that were most amazing and seldom heard. They are a true pleasure to watch. The 7 and 11...More

Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other
parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title
might suggest that this area is all about business and

offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be
touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the
world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts
