We recently took a Premium Swamp Tour, guided by Lauren, and it was an experience like no other! Lauren, an exceptionally knowledgeable and engaging guide, led us through the mysterious beauty of the swamp with expertise and enthusiasm. His insights into the wildlife and history of the area made the tour thrilling and informative. The boat was top-notch, and the entire adventure felt personalized and unique. I wholeheartedly recommend Premium Swamp Tours, and don't miss the chance to explore with Lauren. Five stars!

I booked this tour prior to our trip to NOLA as a birthday present for my husband. He's the beer drinker, not me. We both had an amazing time. We were picked up promptly by Shawn at our hotel. We were the only pickup. Shawn was personable and chock full of information for us (not just about the tour, but NOLA in general. We toured 3 different breweries and got to pick out own beer flavors. As a non beer drinker, all three breweries had beers that I enjoyed. Of course, my husband loved them all. I highly recommend this tour for beer drinkers and non beer drinkers alike. You will not be disappointed. Thank you to Patrick who booked the tour for me by phone and to Shawn for a truly enjoyable afternoon!!

Understand going into this that while it involves drinking, it is an educational tour rather than an "entertainment" tour. What I mean by that is I've been on a brewery tour before where it was more focused toward having a good time with karaoke and trivia included on the bus in between brewery stops. While this tour also had a party bus going from destination to destination there was no entertainment on the bus in between stops. I found my experience on the previous tour to be a little more fun and geared toward a bachelor/bachelorette party atmosphere.

The tour was good, informational, and worth it for a beer lover and one who wants that educational experience. But if you're looking to party in NOLA while on this tour you may want a different experience.

A half day??? Tours are typically more than an hour long. Add an hour bus drive each way and you barely have time to...uh...breath. You need at least a full day

Starting with the color-saturated photo of the Laura main house, the tour description is full of falsehoods and misrepresentations. Some are innocent enough, but others are misleading market hype. Look around before jumping on their bus.

On the plus side, Laura Plantation is a good choice because it includes a full history of life on a working plantation since 1700. Laura contrasts well with the luxury of later plantations like Oak Alley, though I might suggest driving by Oak Alley in favor of the Houmas House,

But there are many plantations to see, and nearly all have guided tours. Better to rent a car and choose your interests, in my opinion. They are all in roughly the same area, just off I-10 and easy to find. (Lots of signs) Evergreen focuses on the slave experience, for example. Some have beautiful gardens. Later ones have gorgeous architecture and interiors.

Jim, Are you sure that this review is for our company? We only do private plantation tours and don't use busses. Peter

Gun range and airboat tour was fine and jimmy our driver was a wonderfully entertaining man.
However, what I do have a problem with was us having to make multiple attempts to contact them to find out what time they would be picking us up in the morning. I have been on more tours than I can count in more countries than I can remember and I have NEVER not had a tour company not contact me the day before to arrange pickup. Not even when I visited Mongolia and The Congo...seriously.
I sent an email and made two phone calls and still didn't find out what time we were being picked up until the concierge took pity on us and rang them from what I assume is a local number (he managed to get a time out of them). Dealing with Premium tours is not a relaxing experience and I can't recommend them to anyone....

If you like craft beer, you should for sure take this tour! We got picked up from our hotel and driven around in a nice luxury van with the best guide, Shawn! Oh, and you get lots of beer (4 full glasses and samples in less than 3 hours)! Shawn was extremely professional but, in a fun, laid back manor which caused the three of us talk the entire time. The other unique thing about this tour was that we got to pick the beers we wanted to sample or get as a full glass. My husband loves stouts and porters, so he was in heaven sampling all the unique flavors instead of being forced to have an lager or blonde ale. I highly recommend this tour.

Oak Alley like one of those rich plantation homes you see in movies such as Gone with the Wind, absolutely loved it. Laura plantation is somewhere everyone should visit, to see and hear what those poor slaves went through and how they were treated ( which we already had a good idea of) but to read the actual stories told by the slaves themselves, acquired by authentic research and interviews was truely heartbreaking, these were real people just like us. God Bless them all.

Want to experience what a Southern plantation home was like? Look no further, this is a worthwhile stop. Large mansion & grounds with many out-buildings plus a wonderful restaurant & gift shop. Staff narrate an interesting history of life during this plantation's heyday. A bit of a drive from New Orleans but well with it. I'd visit it again.

We loved this tour! Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. It was just my husband and myself and a couple from Poland. We visited three breweries in the warehouse district and all three were excellent! The first was a nano-brewery, the second a micro-brewery, and the third a regular (I think) brewery. Two beers at each brewery were more than enough since the alcohol content is always a bit higher than mainstream beer. At the third brewery, we ordered food and it was by far the best food we had in our 5 days in NOLA! Molasses collards were excellent!
