Tours and Tickets

The area
Neighborhood: French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.

Such a fun way to see New Orleans!

I loved The Sweat Social's Running Tour through the French Quarter. The tour guide was so knowledgable and made learning fun. The group size was perfect - small enough to feel intimate but enough people to make a few new friends along the way!

An exquisite experience of social connection and

It was a excellent experience of social bonding among strangers and good friends seamlessly interwoven within a casual workout with the added bonus of being educational at the same time!

The guides are great, friendly, and knowledgeable about the city. The run I experienced was a good way to both explore the city while getting in your daily workout.

Don't worry if your at a different pace than your peers. No one was left behind!

Great and fun workout

We had booked the Sweat class and the guided running tour.
The Sweat class was by the river at the Woldenberg Riverfront Park Pavillion. It was a great workout at a level that our instructor made sure suited us. It was great being by the river and because it's under a pavillion, the rain didn't bother us.
The running tour was cancelled due to heavy rain, but we would have loved to go and we're sure that the running tour would have been just as good as the workout.

AMAZING Running Tours!!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this company. I am a big workout buff and love to be healthy and eat well. I have been to New Orleans 3 other times but this time was the best honestly because of the Sweat Social. I never realized before how many tour guides there were in NOLA. They are all over the place touring crowds of tourists telling them ghost stories of the past which I found out are large stretches from the truth. Turns out that Sweat Social has "Historians" who do their running tours. Their history is way more accurate and interesting!

So every morning for two days straight on my visit I ran early before I started my day. Got a special route to stop and see major historical areas of New Orleans on my run! Their guide would give us a 2-3 minute lesson on the history of New Orleans while we took a short break and grabbed some water. It was AWESOME!! Usually, I just tun my headphones on with music while I am running. I literally learned the most I ever have about New Orleans on this running tour.

Not only that, they kept a really nice pace which I liked since I workout often and could handle it. We had a strong running group one day and the pace was much different. So they know how to cater towards your fitness level too! I ran with these guys once before on my stay and I just LOVE THEM!! Definitely worth checking them out!!

Fast + fun workouts! LOVED it!!!

We love to eat healthy and workout and were a little worried about New Orleans having those types of options available. Then when we came across The Sweat Social and absolutely loved the service they provide!

We took a morning class and did the running tour...BOTH WERE AWESOME.

The class was in the morning with a location overlooking the Mississippi River. Upon arrival we were welcomed with warm greetings, individual workout mats already laid out for us, water bottles and fun swag. Rupa was our instructor and was super friendly and knowledgable, providing tough workouts with modifications for those who needed to take it down a notch. Solid class! It went quick and I liked a lot of the exercises she used.

The running tour, also in the morning, was so much fun and a really great way to kill two birds with one stone. Running through the French Quarter while learning about the history of the city? Such a great idea! We started at a hotel where we met our running guide (Rupa again..yay!! :) as well as our awesome tour guide, Frank. He's pretty classic. They provided us with a handheld map with the route we would be taking. We held a great pace, with Rupa by our sides, stopping about every 6 minutes, so we could reconvene with Frank who gave quick and informative lessons about the history of New Orleans.

Overall, this was exactly what we were looking for. The workouts were challenging leaving me sore and the running tour was a ton of fun. We got great workouts in, leaving me feeling fit and guilt-free so we could dive head first into a mountain of powdery beignets. Yay!!!

Thanks to our new friends at The Sweat Social for kicking our butts! We highly recommend this to any fitness fanatics looking to stay in shape while visiting New Orleans!

Fun run through history

Here on business and did the 5K through the historic French Quarter and Riverwalk. Worth every penny.
Moderate pace, really nice jogging lead and very knowledgable history guide who met us at sites throughout the run. He knew his history well. Thanks to both of you!

Staying FIT while TRAVELING? YES PLEASE!! AWESOME WORKOUT!!

I don't even remember how I found these guys but thank god I did! Fun, Friendly, and man I sweat my #$% off!! Plus I had an amazing view and fun peeps to workout with! Would highly recommend if you are visiting the New Orleans area. It was SUPER convenient and totally worth it. Beats those dark, unmotivating hotel gyms that I see everywhere.

Rupa the instructor was amazing and catered to everyone in the class. I even made new friends that I am still in touch with today! Absolutely amazing. MUST TRY if you are in the area : )

Awesome workout, highly recommend!

My team at work did an team-building offsite in New Orleans, which involved a lot of drinking and eating. So a couple of us signed up for this class to start the day off on a healthier note.

We met our instructor at the park and she was inviting and warm, made everyone of all fitness levels feel comfortable. The class was challenging and went by quickly. It was definitely hard but I had no idea that all the moves we did would make me so sore the next day! She had some really creative moves that left my legs and core super sore the next day -- almost like a bootcamp class.

I went in a group of 4 coworkers but there was one solo traveler there as well and she seemed to enjoy herself just as much as we did. Great activity for anyone looking to get a quick workout it while enjoying NOLA. I hope that they offer this in more cities moving forward -- I would definitely do it again!

Upbeat, Positive Outdoor Workout
Mar 2016 • Business
I was traveling to New Orleans with work, and a friend told me about The Sweat Social. It was a hard, but quick workout outside where we did bootcamp-style exercises. Our instructor was so nice, and very positive and upbeat. It was a really enjoyable workout that I would definitely recommend!!
