We took the literary tour with Robert Florence. Our small group enjoyed the shared readings at literary landmarks, hearing anecdotes about Faulkner, Tennessee Williams, Alice Dunbar Nelson, and other poets, novelists, playwrights, editors, and enablers. The walking tour took us to bars, hotels, churchyards, courtyards, and balconies where the work was inspired or got put on paper. Great way to spend a morning in the Vieux Carre. Excellent tour guides for a well-planned tour.

Our overall group was very small…almost felt like a private tour! Our party was 45,42,16 year olds and we all learned a lot. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about history and architecture and had an answer for every question. Would recommend this tour to others as a great way to walk the garden area streets and actually know what you’re looking at!

Our tour guide David knew so much about New Orleans and the Garden district that our party was so impressed and had an amazing time. David also made a ton of jokes, was very personable, and answered all of our questions. We’re a group of college students who loved Bourbon street and also wanted to learn more about the area of New Orleans.

Booked this tour for my birthday trip to New Orleans and Simply put, this tour was amazing and our guide David was even better! This is the best tour I have ever been on, David was extremely knowledgeable and very entertaining! He even managed to keep my teenagers fully engaged in the tour.
Side note: the cemeteries were closed, this is something trip advisor doesn’t tell you, but the tour company made an effort and reached out to let me know themselves. And even though we couldn’t enter the cemetery it was still a more than well worth it experience thanks to our tour guide! I still managed to get amazing photos and left knowing things I never would have known about the city and it’s fascinating culture. If I could give this tour 100 stars I would, If visiting New Orleans you do not want to miss this experience!!!!!

Thank you so very much for such a great experience! It made our trip that much more special and a special shout out and thank you to David the “piano man” you were awesome!

Randy was our guide and he was AMAZING!! His personality made the whole tour. He was extremely knowledgeable, extremely witty, a great storyteller and hilarious. I was laughing nonstop throughout the tour. Out of the four walking tours I took during our visit to NOLA , this one was my favorite.

We spent 6 hours with Robert Florence touring all the fantastic cemeteries of New Orleans area. As a private guide my group learned so much from this walking encyclopedia. Amazing and well worth the cost!

If I could give a zero I would after the experience I had with a tour guide from this company. I did a city tour with my sorority on our service trip with guide Leonce Collins. I am one of the group leaders and I drove our van. In addition, I was the only black person in the vehicle and within the group. Throughout the tour, Leonce repeatedly ignored me and would talk to everyone else, he showed the white people in the community in a positive light and the black people in the community in a negative light. He repeatedly ranted about Black Lives Matter and repeatedly referred to black people as either "these people" or "those people". So if you want a true experience of New Orleans or are a black person, please avoid this company for your own personal well-being.

Dave is a native New Orleaner who has great knowledge of the local jazz scene, history of the city, film location trivia and a wonderful sense of humor.

We went on the Garden District tour, and then joined him the 2nd day for a tour of the French Quarter. He also is available for private tours for specific interests at a reasonable cost.

What a terrific experience from a local who gave us tremendous perspective on the city, past and present, the local politics and culture, and the challenges of Katrina. The tours really made the trip unique.

Architectually and historically based tour by a local intellectual who is familiar with the Garden District's residents. They even throw in the houses of the famous residents (Ann Rice, the Manning's, Nicholas Cage, John Goodman, etc.. Our tour guide had a passion for the homes and the historic periods that they represent. Highly recommended. This tour company is owned by a local who is profoundly interested in New Orleans. A portion of the tour price goes directly to restoration of one of New Orleans cemetaries. At $15 per person, I feel it was underpriced. I gave a big tip.

We booked a Monday night cocktail/scandal tour. We were told to book ahead and called the number on the brochure to pay via credit card. After the third attempt to pay ( twice we were on hold and asked to call back later) we were told that the computers were down and I would get a call back. We were told to arrive 20 minutes early at Pat O'Briens. We arrived about 30 minutes early and got a call from the tour guide asking us if anyone else was there are he was running behind and wouldn't be there for about a half an hour. Since we were meeting at a bar and are from out of town, we had no way to know if there were others there for the tour. He finally showed about about 5:10 and called to tell us he was there. No one else was there for the tour (there were supposed to be 6 others but they bailed when he didn't show) so we decided not to take the tour. It sounded much more fun in a big group.
