About
My name is Colin B. Tyler, I'm an Entertainer, Chef, Event Planner, Tour Guide and Your Backstage Pass to New Orleans. I've been entertaining people from all over the world for over 35 years. My walking tour is a 2 1/2 hr stroll, visiting famous historic landmarks and establishments in the French Quarter covering New Orleans' culture, history, architecture, music, cuisine, cocktails, and so much more. Depending on the tour, you also can sample authentic cocktails and food that were originated here in the Crescent City. Tours start at 9:30am, 11:30am and/or 12:30 pm. I invite you to come experience my New Orleans like only I can show you. Meet me in front of the Three Legged Dog at 400 Burgundy St., where we start our tour. Welcome to the Big Easy and let me entertain you!

Colin set up a custom tour for us which turned into an extra 90 minutes. We had the best time. Cemetery. French Quarter. Cocktails. Culinary. Colin shares all his info and an insider look at NOLA. He loves what he does and it shows.
I would recommend Colin to anyone who want to learn about the City.
He gives you the best reco for places to eat and see. Has not steered us wrong. Thanks Colin from your friends in SD.

We wanted to take a haunted tour during our vacation in New Orleans. Found this Haunted Tour and decided to take it. Really enjoyed the walk and tour. Colin was the best telling the history of the sites and what happened there. You could almost see the spirits. I took a picture of the front door of the LaLaurie Mansion and was rewarded with a spooky face in one of the glass panes next to the door. I attached the pic. Take the tour, you will like it.

Thank you so much, and that's an amazing photo the second one with the little face above the reflection of the window across the street. Please post this with a review with New Orleans Legendary Walking Tours TripAdvisor or Facebook. Hugs!!!

This was an excellent tour. Our guide was great and very knowledgeable. We learned a lot about New Orleans history. We had great food and drinks at two excellent restaurants. I would highly recommend this tour.

We were walking into the cemetary, just planning to walk around and have a little look when we were stopped by a guy called colin who told us his tour was starting in five minutes which was free but based on tips. We thought why not!
It turned out to be a highlight of the trip and we really enjoyed it. Colin was informative, funny, animated and gave us great tips for the rest of the city. We know a lot more about the cemetary and rituals by doing this than if we had just walked it alone.
Would highly recommend

I spent a wonderful afternoon with Colin yesterday, learning about the history of New Orleans and sampling it’s sites, eats, and libations. Colin was an amazing encyclopedia of New Orleans history both recent and the city’s earliest years. You can tell at his heart this man is an entertainer and you will hear about the many clubs and music venues he has run and worked in over the years, plus his insider stories about city politics and local businessmen and politicians. He will also give you the 411 on what local eateries to visit and avoid and you will visit several to sample the local cuisine and cocktails. Don’t hesitate, just book it now and prepare yourself for a delightful 2 or 3 hour. As I said above, hands down the most enjoyable tour I’ve ever done. Can’t wait to bring my wife next time we are in town.

Steven, thank you so much for the wonderful review. It's so easy to show folks this incredible city, and celebrate our unique Culture when folks like you are open to absorb, and experience all that I have to offer. I love this city, and wake up every morning excited to guide people through Nawlins, and most of all make friends. Thank you Steven hope to see you and your wife here soon, your friend Colin!!!

Colin Tyler was our guide. He gave a great tour of the St. Louis Cemetery No. 1, which has THE Voodoo Queen Marie Laveau!

we bumped into colin while on a self guided tour in the garden district. he kindly spent five or so minutes explaining in greater detail the houses we happened to be admiring at the time. very kind and engaging and we left impressed. will definitely consider one of his tours next time in town.

We were planning to do a self-guided tour through Lafayette Cemetery, but happened upon Colin, who invited us to join his tour group. He provided good information about the cemetery and some history about a few of the notable individuals buried there. While the tour was interesting, it was a little long for our 13-year old daughter. She enjoyed it, but started to get antsy towards the end. Highly recommend for adults interested in learning more about New Orleans and its beautiful cemeteries - but the younger set may prefer wandering through at their own pace.
