I took this tour my first time in New Orleans with friends. We enjoyed our tour, Sandy took us to some places we may not have stumbled upon by ourselves so we were happy with that. We liked our guide but the drinks were very expensive in my opinion.

A good way to see parts of the French Quarter, visit some good bars -- and have fun! We were taken to 4 interesting old bars and given a good talk about the histories, etc, by our very good guide, Midge. There was also, of course the opportunity -- which we all took -- to have some cocktails. The cocktails... More

Had a great time on the Cocktail tour yesterday with Sandi Smith. She was very knowledgeable about the French quarter and its old buildings and kept the group entertained. The drinks purchased along the way were great too! Thanks Sandi.

This tour was not at all what we expected. It is basically a historical tour of four bars. If a historical tour is what you are looking for, then this is for you. If you are looking for a fun filled tour of drinking and visiting pubs, then skip it. Our group started off with twelve people and four people... More

We regret that you did not enjoy the Cocktail Walking Tour. It is subtitled "history with a twist" to be certain that our guests know that it is Tour, not a pub crawl intended only to visit bars for alcoholic beverages. Drinks are not included in the tour (as not everyone wants to consume one at every location), and we... More

Me and my buddy's went on this tour based on trip advisor reviews and recommendations for Sandi. She lived up to her reputation 100% it was a great tour and when it ran an hour late she didn't leave us like most other guides would have she went above and beyond and finished the tour. We went on a few... More

Had a fantastic time yesterday wandering around New Orleans with Sandi Smith on the cocktail tour, learnt lots about the origins of the drinks and Sandi was incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining. London girls say a big thanks Sandi.

Tour starts at the covered area near the ticket office. We visited 4 or 5 restaurants / bars in the Feench Quarter and had a good look at some of NOLA's famous spots. In between there were historical stories and other explanations. Our tour guide Madge was friendly and well informed.

Tour was recommended to us by family... We absolutely loved it. Brian, our guide was perfect, he took us to places we otherwise would never have entered and now we know exactly where to spend the rest of our time in the city. We have new favorite drinks and new favorite bars to enjoy them in. Highly recommend!

We had a great cocktail tour with Sandi last Thursday. She is such a lovely southern lady with a lot of knowledge and interesting stories regarding the bars and drinks we sampled.

I went on this tour with a friend 7 years ago with our tour guide Joe. When my husband and I decided to take a trip to New Orleans I told him about this great tour. I was lucky enough to have Joe for a second time and it was just as fun 7 years later. It was a great... More

Staying in Treme

Neighborhood Profile
Treme
That sound? That flavor? That certain je ne sais quoi that lets you known you’re in “Nawlins” and nowhere else? It’s all good and in broad abundance on the streets of Tremé, where so much of what’s considered to be the very best of New Orleans culture and tradition is, put simply, just how people go about their daily lives in this historic part of town. As one of America’s oldest African-American neighborhoods and among the nation’s first established residential areas for free people of color, Tremé’s significant heritage and contribution cannot be understated. This is especially the case when considering some of Tremé’s most famous residents, most notably jazz great Louis Armstrong. For full flavored food, funky and jazzed up music, and vibrant street life presented with homegrown pride, you can’t beat a visit to Tremé.
