A wonderful tour visiting four of New Orleans's historic bars with one going though the seldom seen back of the house with historic rooms where Kings and Queens and Presidents and Celebrities have eaten and drank. The only reason I don't give it five stars is the tour was billed at 2 1/2 hours. After two hours we were at... More

My husband and I did this tour one night. It starts at the lighthouse on the Mississippi. It starts off with a small drink made at the light house.** Please note** this tour does not include drinks. It is a history tour and you are given the opportunity to purchase drinks. You meet your tour guide-ours was Joe- and the... More

Wonderful tour with not only cocktails but also bits of history and local flair thanks to our our awesome guide - Tour Guide Nancy. Highly recommended whether if you are new to town or a frequent visitor.

We had a great time, even for someone like me who grew up on the Northshore. Our tour guide was Joe Gendusa - he was great! Turns out he helped design the tour over 15 years ago, and wrote a book about it as well. Nothing in this city lasts for more than a couple of years unless they consistently... More

Brian was a great host! He was very knowledgeable and friendly! My husband and I had so much fun and learned so much about the City of New Orleans on our first visit to the city! We would love to go on another tour with Brian.

We had a group of 7 - most in town for the first time. This was a fun & festive way to learn the history of some the french quarter w/ interesting drinks along the way. Felt like a walking party - not your standard tour. Our Guide Brian was fantastic. Really loves his job and it shows. Very entertaining... More

We had a blast. Sandi our guide, was funny and very knowledgeable about the underside of NOLA's restaraunt scene.what a charming southern lady! Yet somehow she managed to be heard despite the crowd.

My husband and I visit New Orleans often, and we were SO glad we finally took the time to do this tour. Our Guide was Sandi, and she couldn't have been any better. Our whole group had so much fun with her, and getting to know each other, while sipping our way around the Quarter. Sandi was extremely well informed,... More

This trip was just a blast. We had Joe as a tour guide. He was loaded with knowledge about the French Quarter, the buildings and the cocktails that originated in the city. It was about 2.5 hours and worth every single moment. We very much enjoyed the trip and would absolutely book this one again! Reasonable and fun, do it!

Staying in Treme

Neighborhood Profile
Treme
That sound? That flavor? That certain je ne sais quoi that lets you known you’re in “Nawlins” and nowhere else? It’s all good and in broad abundance on the streets of Tremé, where so much of what’s considered to be the very best of New Orleans culture and tradition is, put simply, just how people go about their daily lives in this historic part of town. As one of America’s oldest African-American neighborhoods and among the nation’s first established residential areas for free people of color, Tremé’s significant heritage and contribution cannot be understated. This is especially the case when considering some of Tremé’s most famous residents, most notably jazz great Louis Armstrong. For full flavored food, funky and jazzed up music, and vibrant street life presented with homegrown pride, you can’t beat a visit to Tremé.
