My husband and I really loved this tour. I think that was made so special because our tour guide was an older NOLA gentleman who you can picture actually hanging out at these special bars at some special places ! Brennens, Antoins, Court of the 2 Sisters and more. We learned about the specialty of the house and then had... More

This tour was very interesting. Some friends told me about a New Orleans cocktail tour that included the history and a small sample of each cocktail with an option to buy a full one. That is NOT this tour. You get one drink when you start the tour (at the ticket office) and then the cocktails are $10-12 each. One... More

We had a blast doing the original cocktail tour! Sandi was the BEST tour guide ever and showed us a really great time. We went to various historic locations and learned about the city of New Orleans and their infamous cocktails. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting NOLA!!!

A friend recommended this to us and it was amazing. Sandi knows so much history about New Orleans and the drinks to go with it! Enjoyed every drink she recommended and met great people. Pimms Cup is still my favorite.

I took the Original Cocktail Tour with Joe and he was absolutely fantastic! What a sweet charming guy. And, he was so incredibly knowledgeable about New Orleans, the culture, the places we visited, and so many other things. We learned so much and had so much fun! Joe really is an absolute hoot and he brought us into special dining... More

After spending the day with kids, it was time for some adult time! Sandi made this tour our most memorable tour during our vacation. Her vibrant personality made the history lessons of the city very interesting and entertaining. We enjoyed the drinks but it was Sandi who made the tour worthwhile!

Joe was amazing. Prior teacher and originator of the walking cocktail tour 15 years ago. Had an absolute blast! Very knowledgeable and just a wonderful, jovial person. Not to be missed!

First of all our tour guide was very nice and had a lot of information to give. They overbooked the tour we were on and had to divide us up into 3 groups of 17! Because we had 3 groups each group went to different bars so we didn't overwhelm the bars. Our group in particular went to some locations... More

It would be good for us to clarify that we do not book more than 22 people on a cocktail tour with one guide. We prefer to keep them at 18 or less so they can hear the guide and it is not overwhelming to any of the locations we visit. Therefore we have addition guides for each evening tour.... More

Spent 3 days in NOLA on honeymoon and my only regret is that we didn't do this tour first. Sandy took us to bars off the beaten track, away from the brash bourbon Street. Her knowledge and experience is priceless and is demonstrated with passion. Anyone that wants to see the real/original NOLA with great adult company then this is... More

Staying in Treme

Neighborhood Profile
That sound? That flavor? That certain je ne sais quoi that lets you known you’re in “Nawlins” and nowhere else? It’s all good and in broad abundance on the streets of Tremé, where so much of what’s considered to be the very best of New Orleans culture and tradition is, put simply, just how people go about their daily lives in this historic part of town. As one of America’s oldest African-American neighborhoods and among the nation’s first established residential areas for free people of color, Tremé’s significant heritage and contribution cannot be understated. This is especially the case when considering some of Tremé’s most famous residents, most notably jazz great Louis Armstrong. For full flavored food, funky and jazzed up music, and vibrant street life presented with homegrown pride, you can’t beat a visit to Tremé.
