Me and my fiancé went on the plantation and swamp tour with tour guide Jim and bus driver Jimmy. It was so much more than what we even expected, as Jim told us so much history and many stories about the city of New Orleans, and the plantations we passed along the way. Jimmy was a great driver and I barely realized I was on the road. Unfortunately, we were unable to complete the swamp part of the tour due to area flooding and issues with the boats at an alternate tour site, which Jim made up for by throwing us a mini Mardi Gras party. Gray Line also immediately refunded us for the swamp tour in cash, which made it easy to schedule another tour. If you’re visiting from out of town and want to maximize your experience in the City, definitely try to book a tour with Jim and Jimmy, you won’t be disappointed.

Lovely tours, we have done both the bayou fan boat and the cocktail tour. Fan boat was great fun, with a special shout out to our bus driver Kin who was absolutely spectacular - entertaining, fun, and made the 40min bus ride fly by.
The cocktail tour was nice, first cocktail free but then have to purchase all cocktails after that (no tastings, only for purchase). Our guide Tom was absolutely lovely, such a genuinely nice guy who gave amazing insight into what it's like in NOLA as a local.
Recommend gray line in general!

So glad you enjoyed the tour. Tastings are always a thought but we like to keep the price as low as we can.

Sandi Smith is the best tour guide we have ever had (and we have both traveled a lot). This was perfect for couples and it would also be fun for of-age family members and friends. Sandi could teach a university level course about the city of New Orleans as she knows so much. She took us to hidden, beautiful places we would have never found and went over entertaining history with great passion. She made our night so much fun! The drinks she chose were very unique and enjoyable. This was the most fun and special tour we have ever done! Do it! You will be glad later. Very romantic, fancy, fascinating, and a blast!

we booked a combo plantation tour ( Laura and Whitney) for Dec 26th . The tour booked is with a small bus ( 25 people) visiting Whitney first and Laura after). When we saw the bus coming , it was a big coach bus. What we learned ; there were three groups in the same bus: combo Whitney and Laura, combo Laura and Oak Alley, and combo Oak Alley and Whitney! In the combo Whitney and Laura we were only 13 people and Gray Line decided to join groups together , to save money , we don't know! What happened ; the bus driver was really unhappy because he needed to play musical chair with the different groups( unloading one at one place , picking the next one at the other place , etc). The visits by itself were great but the plantation tour guide were told to hurry at each place because of the loss of time by picking and unloading people at the diffrent plantations. All the plantation tours were cut short in time so nobody had time to visit and explore fully as it was suppose to be . The plantation tours by itself are good but Gray Line customer service is not OK. We will not take them again.

Terrible experience! I booked a riverboat cruise and a city tour for a recent trip to NOLA. Graylines never emailed me my tickets/itinerary so I had to call them and wait on hold for over 15 minutes to request that they send me my needed tickets. Once in NOLA we paid $23 in parking and then walked to the boat where we found out that boat ride had been canceled due to mechanical issues. I understand that mechanical issues are out of thier control, but Graylines never contacted me to inform me of the cancellation. Then to make matters worse, they went ahead and canceled my city tour for the next day without letting me know via phone call or email. So while they did refund my money I was out the $23 for parking, I didn't get to enjoy the tours, and I was stuck in NOLA in the afternoon heat with 4 grumpy kids and a husband trying to figure out what we could do to use up our $23 parking fee for three hours lol.

We did have a mechanical situation and had to cancel the cruise. Our system send emails to all our guests for the cruise. We will check on that city tour for you if you can provide your full name and date of the tour. it is certainly not the experience we want to leave you with. Guestexperiences@glnosc.com

We had a fantastic city and cemetery tour experience with Jim and Donald! Both were so professional and helpful, Jim was an incredibly knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. He gave a very comprehensive and historically informative tour, and was extremely personable! His restaurant recommendations were also delicious! The two stops were well timed and as someone who is visiting New Orleans without a car it was great to be able to see neighborhoods that we may not have seen otherwise. I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for a way to see many parts of the city as well as learn about the history of New Orleans overall.

This is a review of the Oak Alley Plantation & Swamp tour. Our guides were Dionn and Alston. Dionn was a great tour guide, able to answer any questions we had about the city and the area as well as provide a interesting history lesson about Louisiana and the FQ. The plantation tour stop was 3 hours, and there is a restaurant on site to get lunch. A cafe with to go sandwiches was also an option. We then headed for a swamp tour and got to see alligators up close from our boat and watch them eat. The bus was clean and comfortable, with a restroom on board if needed. I would recommend this tour for anyone looking to mix history with some nature/wildlife adventure. Dionn and Alston were excellent and did a superb job.

Jim was a peach. He was the best tour guide I’ve ever had in New Orleans. Even better than his boss. He should be promoted! He knows the history of the city and the history of the drinks

If you can request Jim, I would highly recommend it.

We purchased the double plantation tour with the Oak Alley and Whitney tour. From start to finish, the service was well organized. Our guide, Jim, was knowledgeable and entertaining. The driver was professional and offered a hand when exciting the bus. It was a 7 hour tour which required around an hour drive outside of the city to reach the plantations. There were adequate bathroom facilities, snack/drinks available for purchase, and talented tour guides.

Our tour around the French Quarter was incredible! Our tour guide, Robi, was both very knowledgable and enjoyable. While learning true history behind the city of New Orleans, we visited a few hot spots of paranormal activity - while the point isn’t jump scares, it’s about sharing culture and history with those eager to learn. Robi was personable and fun, sharing great jokes and better tales that made us eager to come back for more tours around the city of New Orleans. A definite recommend for anyone interested in history and the macabre!
