Unbelievable waterfront! Mardi gras fountain was amazing, loved the history of all the krewes. Wish we had seen it at night lit up. Grest picnic area.

We walked over after touring the Light House. The fountain was working but since it was daytime the lights were not on. It was nice to see past and present Krews. There are benches neat by to take a break and enjoy the fountain.

The Mardi Gras fountain has recently undergone a complete and exciting renovation with programed color changing lighting and dancing water effects. Work is nearly finished and the grand opening will be announced soon.

This was an awesome sight years ago but the levee board has not kept it up since Katrina. Prior to that it was given a face lift, but hasn't spewed water in years and years.
