Outstanding, highly recommend!

We have been to many many aquariums and expected this one to be same as all the rest but we were surprised as to how awesome it was.

The American Aquatic Gardens is really a beautiful oasis in the heart of New Orleans, but buyer beware. We bought 2 water lilies there last summer that came to well over $100. We put in a pond and had bought quite a few things there previously for it. In the spring when they did not revive after the winter, we... More

This has to be the most beautiful nursery I've ever seen. Every square inch had something unique, unusual and inviting. They had the 4 greek season statues and they were the most beautiful I've ever seen. All of their plants were showroom quality and very well maintained. The staff were all very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Their inside store was... More

What a place to dream and make your outdoor space into a little bit of NOLA heaven! I loved the selection of aquatic fountains in all price points. Not to mention the flowering plants, ceramic decorations and everything for that 'new age-zen' experience.

AAG&G has a lot to offer whether you are interested in indoor or outdoor art and furnishings. It is set up like a series of outdoor showrooms each jam packed with everything from huge fountains to small hanging sun catchers. We were totally overwhelmed with the huge selection when we went shopping for a patio fountain. I always find additional... More

If you have an interest in gardening you must see this store in the Marigny. You see something new and different around every corner and will find many keepsakes for your home yard or garden.

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighborhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
