This is where it all started for Tropical Isle New Orleans. Tropical Isle® Original was first launched after the 1984 World’s Fair here in New Orleans. After thriving for 20 years on Toulouse Street, Tropical Isle® Original moved across the street to its current location. We have recreated the cozy atmosphere of the old bar while adding several big screen TVs and space for large groups of party goers.

Get a shark attack. That is all I will say. I don’t want to ruin it. After that get a hand grenade on the rocks.

Awesome place, stopped here for at least one drink every night. The Shark Attack is awesome, and the little presentation the bartender does is hilarious, so make sure you have your camera out! Grenade is good too, get the "skinny" version for less sugar, (its...More

This place IS a tourist trap BUT our large group had a great time here. The bartender was great, the band was really good and the hurricanes were dangerous. We would go back.

Let’s be honest, if you’re looking for a way to smash back drinks in a good atmosphere at a cheap price, this is your place. While the cocktails can be $10 they are a large serve and fueled with alcohol. Famous for their Hand Grenade...More

If you have not had a Hand Grenade then any description with words will fall far short from even approaching the delight you will find.... This is a "bucket list" place....

This place has great vibes and really good music. The drinks are good and priced about what you’d expect for the French quarter.

French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living
lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty
Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port
of call for folks in search of a good time and a great

well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the

Never had a cover any of the times I have been there, but with everything these days -- you should call and verify for yourself if it is a concern. Hand Grenades are the best!
